New exhaust tips for stock Gen II

Me neither. You could probably pick up a couple of tips like that (without the Viper logo) at any auto parts store, or Wallymart.

    GTS subwoofer fun - pics

I considered the Solobaric, but in the end decided on the CompVR because I had the space for a slightly larger enclosure, and liked the look of the round sub better. Also, the Viper has a pretty small cabin, and I don't think the increase in SPL capability is worth the 100% increase in price of...

    GTS subwoofer fun - pics

So, I replaced my factory subwoofers with Kicker 6.5" a few months ago, but wasn't satisfied with the sound they put out. After looking at pictures on this site and reading pretty much every thread on the topic, I decided to see if I could fit a 12" sub in the back of my GTS. Caveats: 1)keep...

Try the new Rain-X Latitude or similar blades. I put them on my truck, and the difference is huge. No streaking or grabbing.

    Dead Battery, Difficult To Start

Was the alarm system armed when it died? I seem to remember someone posting about a similar problem a while back--battery died when car was armed, tried to jump it and it kept dying. Try a search and see what you find.

    Poly engine mounts!

What Dave6666 said. Car feels much tighter all around, and the annoying shimmy I was getting at around 80 mph is gone. It is a bit of a trade off, as vibrations are transmitted more easily into the car from the engine (a consequence of the stiffer material), but I only really noticed it at low...

    Poly engine mounts!

Just got back from the first drive after installing Woodhouse mounts...wow! Installation is a pain (working on the garage floor with jackstands), but well worth it. I had to remove the mounts and brackets from the engine to get the upper nuts off. There was no way they were coming off with...

Yeah, they just snap together. It's not worth it to buy their new housings.

    My coolant overflow looks empty?

There is a slit in the wheel well, maybe ~6 inches to the left of the foglight opening. Shine a flashlight behind it (from inside the access hole) and you should be able to see the fluid level. Also, it's easier to see if you turn your wheels to the left.

    Berated for owning a Viper

I wonder if people who object to Vipers ever consider that compared to, say, the number of Camrys on the road, Vipers have put far less total pollution into the air... Take 2002s, for instance. 1622 Vipers produced, and (based on 15000 miles/year, far more than I suspect any Viper gets driven)...

    My coolant overflow looks empty?

OEM is green. If you want to switch to extended life you'll have to drain and flush the cooling system. Say, why are you listed as an enthusiast now? Did I miss something?

    Silicone hoses question

Thanks Dave--my main concern was whether it would affect the paint on the box. Secondarily, I wondered if the box getting hotter would affect the IAT at all, but now that I think about it, that shouldn't be affected either.

    My coolant overflow looks empty?

Check the level when the engine is warm--it should be between the high and low marks. What coolant you add depends on what is in there already--if it's green, add green; red or orange, add extended-life antifreeze. Pull off the uppermost hose next to the pressure cap on the passenger's side...

    Silicone hoses question

I've already searched, and didn't find anything specifically addressing this. I have a JMB Performance airbox, and yesterday replaced my radiator hoses with Snake Oyl silicone hoses (02 GTS). The stock hose passed behind the airbox without touching it, but the silicone hose rests against the...

    Hemp in the Viper?

So, apparently I'm bored today--enough to turn on MSNBC as background noise. However, I heard the words "Dodge" and "Viper" in a segment about the industrial uses of hemp in America (it's all imported from Canada b/c growing it here is illegal). Something in the interior is made of hemp, the...

Traded my Red 94 RT/10 for a 98 Silver GTS... Exhaust Question

Yeah, that's Corsa. I have the same exhaust on my car. FWIW, one of my projects this winter was deadening the interior. I used Second Skin Damplifier (vibration damping mat), closed-cell acoustic foam (decoupler), and mass-loaded vinyl (noise absorber/barrier). It's not tomb-like, but it is...
