Sounds like you're overflowing with Vipers?
You must have some pretty special ones if you're dumping a B/W Gts.
I love that school bus yellow with the white stripes BTW.
nzgts,
Maybe you hit on something. Perhaps the rest of the world will jack up the Vipers' value eventually.
Like what happened to "T" series MG's in the early seventies, and they all got exported out of England. Coincidently that also was when the Brithish sterling was taking a beating aswell.
There's no doubt 1st/2nd generation Vipers will become collectors' items one day.
They're certainly alot wierder than 'vettes, and production numbers are very low.
I would think there are probabely even more old Shelby Mustangs in existance than Vipers, and look what happened to those prices...
Thanks for chiming in Chuck.
When I bought this Florida car four years ago, the fluid in the clutch reservoir was black.
Unlike on English roadsters, I couldn't even find the clutch slave cylinder. So, I had been sort of replacing the master cylinder fluid with fresh and hoping for the best.
I...
The clutch hydraulic system stops working when my 00 ACR freezes.
It's ok after the engine warms things up above freezing after a few minutes of idling.
Anybody else experience this problem?
The average run of the mill punk will take your car if it's unattended with the keys in the egnition.
The pro'll tow your car if it's unattended weather you have the "I'm a doofas" steering bar on or whatever else.
Always keep an eye on it or lock it away.
Stop driving too far to the right of the lane where the asphalt meets the sidewalk.
The front tire'll pick up the nail or screw and shoot it to the rear tire.
I figured that out a long time ago when I kept getting right rear punctures on my 911.
It's not a commonly known problem because most...
I rub with a soapy sponge to do the outer surface and tire, then use my fingers to clean around the spokes as I'm squeezing out soapy water from the sponge.
It goes faster with practice.
Could we see a picture of it?
My favorite is the one on this race car. If she could only drive as well as she can talk.

They didn't even bother to use flexible wiring for the harness that goes from the doors to the body. You expect a billet gas cap?
Why don't you just peel off what's left of the old clear coat, and have the cap buffed?
My $.02
My ACR is like a wild bull. The same as that brutal black beast in the Corrida. It exudes the same lack of finesse and nasty temperment. It's not advisable to ride it like you stole it if you want to stay healthy.
That's why I love it :)
After a string of 911, I tryed the stab...
I have it at the outside front corner of one of the louver openings. It grew about a quarter inch each year till I re-enforced it from underneath. That's Quebec roads for you.
It's good to see Japanese people talking about an American car for a change.
Those NOPI kids trigger a gag instinct everytime I see those shows on TV.
....and yes, I am jealous of their chicks!
Well at least you won't run the risk of slamming on the brakes if you decide to change gears during a long drive when your foot "forgets" where the clutch is.
That really freaked out my girlfriend.
You can't fake an ACR. Even if you don't know what you have, Dodge knows what you have. Any dealership can just check on the computer and get all the history and recalls and such. It's not like the old cars.
Yeah, they change the 5-point belts entirely. The new couplings are black and don't have a hair trigger release as the original red ones. You may want to keep the ACR patches off the old belts before you go to the dealer as spares.
I can understand records being erased for Neons, but for Vipers????????
Isn't anyone with the slightest sensitivity to automobiles left at Chrysler anymore?
By giving it a "Rebuild" title your giving the next owner a whole bunch of issues as both the state government & the insurance companies' garages use the opportunity to extort money out of the owner of the car.
Once again those so called do-gooders are really the fun-killers.
4. The Viper was conceived as a reincarnation of the AC Cobra. Updated, but just as uncompromising.
Chevrolet's iconic Corvette has to always be bounded by its own legacy. The market has certain expectations of it.
The Honda......well it's Japanese. An ameba is supposed to be...
