    Anyone care to rough estimate the paint/bodywork labor required to add a naca duct and 2 vents to a hood? My 96 RT has the "blanks" for the vents/duct already in the hood (since it was shared w/ the GTS) so it's a matter of cutting and putting in the dutcs. I have a GTS front nose already...

    83 IROC

    Irocs had both 305 and 350tpi motors (87+). IROC was the replacement badges for Z28. Although, the 3rd gen IROC 350 is one of the best handeling F-bodies ever made... Wiiiiideeeee and low. MM

    An 83 would still be a Z28 designation. Iroc designation (which replaced Z28) was from 1985-1990 IIRC. After that, dodge got the rights to IROC. MM

    Advice on trans. grinding when 1to2 shift

    Drain the gear oil and replace w/ GM Syncromesh fluids (tend to work a bit better than redline's MT-90). Let it warm up and see if it helps any. You could have worn or chewed the syncro, very real posibility (although I haven't heard of this on vipers much). But... you can get a good trans...

    Cheap: Replace cats w/ strait pipe and remove resonator. -- LOUD and resonated like a mofo... but costs like 10$ Kinda cheap: Replace cats w/ strait pipe and install dynomax bullit mufflers --Louder than stock but sounds goooood.... Moderate cost: Replace cats w/ HF's and use dynomax mufflers...
