A couple things come to mind...Make sure the ceiling is 12 feet at least if you are ever going to install a lift, also I have "standard" 2 car garage door opening but had the door installer add 2 panels and run the...
I removed mine also, AFTER I bumped into a parking lot curb and cracked my tank...Replaced the tank and left the screw off the facia....
Do this now or you may regret it later...

I second Zen's idea of putting something on top of your tile.
I have "Race Deck" Circle trak tile in my garage, it does need to be cleaned more than I like (the white tiles) but is ok to walk on with wet feet. I have a pool next to the garage...

That makes me feel better, I know that you know your stuff...My friend thinks the sportbar got caught on the center divider as the the car slid upside down so the force pulled it to the rear of the car...maybe few rollbars could stand up to that force...

I understand where you are coming from, I always try to get the best deal as I am not one of the "Rich" Viper owners...
I just couldnt bring myself to put my "babies" or myself under a "cheap" lift..
Since I couldnt "test" all the lifts on the market myself, and wasnt willing to simply go by...
FYI: I went with 220v vs. 110v....Check out the difference in the time it takes the lift to rise 110v vs. 220v
If you can swing it, go for the 220v (same price).

No problems...I asked the race deck people before I did it and they said its ok...They have thier lift with a Hummer on it with no issues...Race Deck can withstand 10,000 pounds psi or so they say...

I am not going to rip on any other brand of lift since I only have experience with the Rotary Brand, but just dont "cheap out" on a lift ...do your research (like you are here) and remember safety first...
