Why won't anyone race me? Last non-kill = 996 Turbo

Re: Why won\'t anyone race me? Last non-kill = 996 Turbo I agree completely. Use you head. I actually find that racing on the highway tends to be more safe than digging from stopligt to stoplight.

    Lug nut size???

Jim, I tried a 3/4" socket and it felt a little off, but close. It's tough to get the socket in there, though, because of the small diameter of the openings on the rim. I need to buy a thin-wall socket to get in there, but need to know the size first to buy the right one!

    Lug nut size???

Hey guys, does anyone know what size lug wrench I need to use on my rims? I've got a set of HRE 546s from Jon B. with the chrome lug nuts he supplies. I called him to inquire, but he indicated that he gets them from HRE and they would know. I called HRE, but they're busy with SEMA this...

Kerry to Concede @ 1:00 PM

Re: Kerry to Conceed @ 1:00 PM I agree, Larry. Well said. God bless the U.S.A. and God bless our President, George W. Bush! I couldn't be happier. GTSREDDOG, it is kind of ridiculous for a guy who's owned TWO Vipers and a brand new Hemi pickup worth probably around $40k to talk about the...

    Looking to buy headers!

Sean, what kind of gains could I expect on a 2002 GTS with the headers and high-flows? My car also has a Borla catback exhaust. Thanks!

    New Borla Cat Back Sound

Does anyone have any information on the weight of the Borla catback versus the stock catback? Does it weigh more or less?

    Just bought my first Viper!

Bruce: Thanks man! In every road test/magazine article/etc. I've seen the Viper beats the Vette on the road courses. I guess it's just a matter of driving it more smoothly than the Vette? Are the limits of the Viper difficult to find without going beyond, i.e., once you get to the point...

    Just bought my first Viper!

By "not as forgiving" do you mean that once the Viper's back end breaks loose, it will spin? With the Z-06, you can get the back end hanging out coming out of corners and powering through is fairly easy. Will the Viper not perform like that? Have you taken both road racing? How do they...

    Just bought my first Viper!

BJH1: I hear you. I LOVED my Z-06. I had it pretty tricked out with longtube headers, full exhaust work, intake, all bolt-ons, 3-piece rims, etc. Here's a link to some photos I took: http://www.shutterfly.com/osi.jsp?i=67b0de21b32ac8046510 BUT...I drove my buddies 1997 GTS and couldn't...

    Just bought my first Viper!

Thanks for all the well-wishes guys!!! I seriously can't wait for the new baby to arrive! I'm located in Alamo, CA (about 30 mins outside San Francisco). I've got to do some updating to my user info on the site. I'll try to add to it tonight. Chuck aka Viper Wizard: Thanks for all the time...

    Just bought my first Viper!

Hey guys, I've been a Vette guy for the past 4 years, having a coupe and a Z-06. I've always thought Vipers were killer, but have never owned one. I sold the Z about 3 or 4 weeks ago and bought the Viper. It's a 2002 ACR, finished in Viper Red without stripes and has black interior. It also...
