I've heard and read that Fluidyne and Alan's are really good. Roe just released a new inexpensive performance radiator.
I sent my stocker to a local radiator repair shop and they rodded and cored it for $150. Works like a charm if you want to keep the stocker.
Check out this thread...
Make sure you read the whole post.... :)
All:
I called Jon up on Tuesday 10/06/09 and asked him about some exhaust flex pipes off a 98+ as I am swapping out my stock exhaust manifolds for the 98+ shorties. He basically said he had to check around to see what he could find. We agreed on a...
The Viper was the first car I have owned (not driven) with a manual transmission and it was pretty easy to get used to. I learned right away while driving the car back from Florida what wet weather driving in a Viper is like. I have had much more respect for grip and throttle position since that...
Viper and Ford GT should have been in the top 10.
They forgot:
Early - mid 90's BMW 8 Series
Sunbeam Tiger
Mazda RX-7
Toyota Supra
I knew there was a reason I dumped my supscription to Automobile years ago.
Those look great! I had Baers on a previous car of mine (not a Viper) and absolutely loved them. I may be a little partial to them as well becuase they are a local vendor...
You could always line your transmission tunnel or underside of your console with this:
Pegasus - Aluminized Heat Barrier Cloth, Non-Adhesive
I have used it on a number of vehicles. It's easy to install with the "High Temp Spray On Adhesive" and it works great! Give it a shot!
More expensive to maintain?
Synthetic oil costs the same no matter what car you put in.
Oil filters can't be that significant of a price difference.
Spark plugs and brake pads are around the same price as well.
I'll stick by my original statement that Vipers make great DD's as...
Take an IR thermometer and check the temps at the radiator, hoses, and t-stat housing. This should get you pretty close to knowing what the actual temp is. From there, follow the diagnostic routines in the manual. My guage goes all the way to the left when the car is off.
Just yesterday a guy in the parking lot of the local Wendy's shouted "How much p---y do get in that thing?"
Dumbfounded by his brashness, I replied "I'm married, so not much!"
:rolaugh:
Why do I never hear of anyone running Baer brakes on their cars? :dunno:
Probably best to stay away from the cheapy Ebay rotors but Roe Racing (and possibly other site vendors) has some low cost slotted/drilled or dimpled rotors available.
Hi all:
I'm changing out my exhaust manifolds to the newer style and I'm looking for a set of stock flex pipes with or without cats (preferably without) off a 98-02 Viper.
Used is ok by me.
While I'm at it, I'm also looking for the little round covers that clip into the door sill and...
Dump the cats altogether. Install O2 sims. Install Belangers. Enjoy the new sound and power!!!
As for emissions compatability, it depends on what tests they run. Here in AZ it's simply an OBDII test. All they do is plug in to the computer and check for codes. If no codes come up, you pay them...
No mocking here... The small version looks good! :2tu:
The shop that painted the stripes on my car said they would do the same to a model if I brought one to them. I've got the model, just need to get it to the shop.
Vipering is such a sickness.
Take a dollar off for the spelling error and take $9999 off the price as a penence for destroying a perfectly good Viper.
However, if Ashanti actually came with the car, it might be worth the price of admission... :1up:
Because no one wants to ride in a yellow car??? :p
OR
Because Leslie is the first woman to go for a ride with you??? :lmao: :poke:
When you gonna trailer that thing down to AZ?
