When I got this heads/cam package(cam is like a 708) I first ran it with the stock exhaust and pcm no tune, stock intake mani, TB and intake setup. It made 525rwhp. It should be close to that.
After adding headers, exhaust and a tune, I it jumped to 565rwhp :D

I like that hood. It would be a touch choice between this one and your "other" hood for a GenII. I would have to see a pic of them painted and on the car. This hood may not have the curves to match the GEN I/II.
You don't know how many times I've been tempted to buy a 300 shot of nitrous to put on this car(it's built for it). I'm sure making almost 565rwhp + 300 shot would have me hitting 9's. I agree, when I toss these 6 y/o stock tires and get some PS2/BFG's, I'm sure I've got a better number...
Got the car cleaned up, runs as strong as ever. I can't wait to hit the track again.
The cheapest place to buy oil and filter is ......WAL-MART. $40 for moblie 1 syn and $5 for the MOPAR filter.

Yep, dropping the pressure helped. The odd part is that my times went down but my mph went up! I ALMOST hit a 11.5@127 This car has that time in it with this set up. I'm willing to bet with more work on my part, this setup has a 11.3 @127 in it.
By replacing each cat with a pipe my car lost 6lbs. Not a huge loss but it is some. Butt dyno says I picked up 10hp. I picked up .25mph in the 1320 test.
It sounds so much better without cats. Loud, but better.

Pull the cats and resonators. It will be loud enough.
My ACR just has a pair of resonators in the rear and it sounds loud mean and ready to eat small young kids.
I found the head bolts near the firewall a b!tch.
I put in each part one at a time (loose) It was easiest putting them in from the bottom.

Enjoy that thing. What type of racing do you like to do? I'd loved to see you do a little road racing and some mile events. 1/4 mi for anything over 600rwhp just isn't long enough. You end waiting so long for a 10sec run.
But my car is slow so it's ok to drag race for now ;)
If you want to make the power your thinking of doing (700-750rwhp N/A) Your not going to be doing it on the intake mani you have. The runners are too long and the plenum is too small.
My car was tuned for 91 Oct back in Seattle. Now that I'm here in Orlando, we only get 93. I've also removed my cats from the time it was tuned.
So...who knows how to do this. I'd hate to blow up the motor but a little more power never hurts :drive:

Our motors are very close. I still run the stock Intake mani, TB and airfilters (ACR came with K&N's). I feel my cam is too small for this setup, it's about the same as a 708. I made a mistake and was too conservitive. I should have used a much larger cam. But I wanted a 100%...
The power curve is so smooth, it almost looks like a N/A dyno sheet. Great number!
I can't wait to go TT...I just need the $$$
How much do you have into the setup total....For us guys that have stopped going to the strip club to save the Washingtons. :D
