    I need to get my sills repainted as well as the valve covers. anyone reccomend a shop or have experience with this stuff? I think im just going to have the valve covers painted to match the car as the factory paint may be hard to match or get. Thanks. P.S. anything in southern/central...

    You can get the SRT-10 truck in an auto configuration. not sure how big the tranny is but it uses the same engine.

    My 2002 GTS arrived last night. Question about tire noise.

    I would start by putting the stock tires back on and go for a drive. that would eliminate the tires from the list.

    Painted dash? Pics?

    Here's a couple pics of my dash, it was painted by the previous owner, I like it except for the glove box door. it needs done as well. It does have some glare to it but i thought it was stock when i first bought the car.

    Very nice looking car, i've got its twin sitting in my garage. the tires look like the newer michelin's. I've tracked mine with them and they hook up great. enjoy it, there great cars and so much fun.

    yes an electronic one controled by the computer, my problem was a mechanical overrev situation. the wheels drove the engine faster then it should have turned, becuase i was in the wrong gear for the speed.

    a very light tick is normal that the injectors, but my tic was louder after i missed the gear and overreved it.

    Its not a crack, just a line, must have been in the casting process or something, because its on every one.

    the keepers are both still there. but one is popped up out of place. so the head of the valve is recessed a bit below the top of the spring. thats why there is the extra wear on the top of the spring and on the rocker arm.

    Well i tore it apart tonight and i think i got very lucky. It looks like one of the valve keepers popped out of place. Good thing the valve didn't drop into the cylinder. Do you guys think that by putting it back everything should be fine? I have to go rent an OHV valve spring compressor...

    that was kind of what i figured so now to take it apart and see whats wrong, its parked till May in the warm garage. The wierd thing is the noise is coming from under the intake in the middle of the engine, not from either valve cover.

    ATTN Trackrats: Dimple on outside of tire - dangerous?

    that is an impact scar most likely from a pothole or the like. what is accually wrong is a belt in the sidewall is broken. its garbage, i wouldn't even drive it on the street. just not worth it when it blows out and wrecks the body.

    Viper Won't Start

    I would check all the fuses as well, its possible something got shorted out and blew a fuse.
