GM's Pontiac division didn't have a 2 door performance platform to build the GTO on so they had to tap their Australian affiliate. Doesn't matter though, Pontiac totally missed the boat with this car. They refused to utilize any retro styling on the GTO. It doesn't resemble the old Goats in...
What brand floor did you use?
I didn't do the floor myself. It's professionally installed.I believe the manufacterer of the epoxy is out of Rhode Island. It consists of 6 layers. A base coat of epoxy that self levels and fills any cracks or voids. Then several coats of colored vinyl chips and...
Pull the Viper out of the existing garage every Sunday morning at 5:30 and start it. Rev it a few times. When your neighbor puts his house up for sale, buy it.
Same thing happened to me, believe it or not.
I got 2 extra key blanks on ebay and had them cut at Ace Hardware. They were a little reluctant to cut the keys because of the odd shaped fob but it worked ot fine. They charged me a dollar to cut both keys. A definite bargain.
Yellow and dark silver striped GTS with a big wing belongs to Gavin Ress. He's from Hauppauge, LI. Gavin also has a custom nose and hood. Could have been him. He drives the car a lot.
I went on Saturday night. I was absolutely floored at the calibre of cars at this show. There were some incredible and rare cars there. Lots of great late 60's and early 70's Mopar muscle and even a Yenko S/C Camaro.
Just the one Viper. It's a beautiful car.
I hope to see you guys Sunday. It's been a while.
We're building a detached garage at the house so the Viper is "pinned" in the attached garage (the driveway is a mess).
I'll be bringing my "Blast from the Past", a 1975 Trans Am.
See you Sunday.
Funny. My search for an early 70's Trans Am prompted me to post this question. I have always had an emotional attachment to the Trans Am having owned one a '79 as a teenager and later buying another 1979 SE Trans Am which I sold to get my Viper.
Unless you are forced to sell the car I would...
Seems to me that late 1960's and early 1970's muscle cars are appreciating at a rate of 20-30% a year. It would appear to be a sound investment if you do your homework and get the right car. Also, a nice investment that can be enjoyed as it's appreciating. I bought a 1979 Special Edition Trans...
