Dead battery
Just FYI - my Gen 5 gets parked for weeks with the key inside without issue. I bought it off the showroom floor where it sat for a year. The battery was toast and was replaced when I accepted delivery. What you're experiencing is not normal. Maybe the dealer replaced an old battery with an...- pitdad

Great topic Broom. The "launch" instructions I read left me sceptical and I've never used mine. I know computer control is supposed to protect the engine, but the idea of holding the throttle open and then "locking" it there before "dumping" the clutch doesn't seem like a very friendly thing...- pitdad

Lithium Ion battery in 2016 ACR
You can use a charger / tender, but it has to be specifically for a LI battery. A fully charged lithium-ion battery can sit for a year or more and still retain adequate starting capacity, without damaging the battery. As such, any vehicle that has no current flowing when the key is OFF should...- pitdad

12VDC is 12VDC as far as the car is concerned. Amp/Hour ratings need to be equal or greater. Battery life certainly looks longer on the lithium battery. Looks like weight difference is significant. Wikipedia says the average weight for a car battery is 39 pounds. The heaviest lithium battery...- pitdad

Z06 vs. Viper ACR
You're right Viper Jeff. I almost stopped watching because of all the whining about noise, heat, lack of creature comforts....when did car guys get so soft? Their message pretty much boiled down to the Z06 is the perfect car.... unless you want handling and speed.- pitdad
