Only way I know of to find out how thick your floor is would be to drill a small hole with a hammer drill and concrete bit. You can use a small 3/16" bit.
EBC Greens for 600 miles now. No squeel ever but dust seems to be just as bad as OEM pads. Too bad because the only reason I changed was to get less dust. If I had to do it over again I'd stick with OEMs
IF YOU HAVE ORIGINAL XGTZ tires, regardless of tread left. Get new tires and your problems will most likely be solved.
I had the exact same issues as you and after 12 years, just this year replaced the original tires with new pilot sports and couldn't believe how much better the car...

Don't know exactly what is going on with your car, but....
Driveline "clunk" is 100% normal in these cars. If you do a search on the subject others have explained why it is there and needs to be there.
