I was thinking of buying a new GTSR engine block (part 4876831) and some other parts for the engine from a dealer here that ordered the wrong part a long time ago and wants to get rid of it. He does not have the heads. Are there alot of differences in these and the normal v10. And what would be...
Re: Where can I get 3
I would go with Tbar bolt clamps instead of band clamps with the screw. Check out a marine supply house. You have plenty in your area.
Do you have koni or dynamic shocks? If you have Konis email me I can help you set them. Everything is in the shop manual. The dynamics can be adjusted also. The dynamics will give a worse ride though since the spring rates are higher.
Re: Scott\'s (ViperMed) GTS w/19\' Purner wheels!! (PICS)
So sweet!!!!!!!
Who made the rear diffuser and the rest of the body mods.
I aslo have been looking for the windshield decal you have. I gat tired of people asking what type of vette mine is.
Just adjust the shocks. When I 1st got my 2000 acr the suspension was set wrong and it did the same thing. I have Konis and have never used the Motion shocks but there should be something in the shop manual not the owners manual) on how to adjust them. Mine was set on the lowest setting bump and...
I have heard that the crossover tube or xpipe is what will reduce the drone. I know magnaflow makes an xpipe and a crossover muffler. I have seen both of these but not on a viper. They look like good solutions. Another cheap thing to try would be to put a crossover pipe in anyone could do this...
I saw something today about a new Pirelli tire called the Rosso it had a 355/25 I do not know what dia it was though. You may want to check around this tire just came out.
Re: I need a Shop Manual for a GTS
I have a 2000 shop manual. Just about everything is the same between the 2 years. It also includes all the info on the acr. It has all the suspension settings and how to set up the suspension on the ACR.
The question I was trying to ask is why are you using 5w-40 instead of 10w-30. It seems that when the engine is running the 40weight oil may be to thick to properly lubricate the engine. Also I was worried about the lifters. Since they opperate on oil pressure I was worried they may not work...
I would start out just deleting the cats 1st. This seems to give the best flow and sound in my opinion. You can always do more later or put them back if the person doing it does a good job.
