I am using a Tilton 7.5" Carbon carbon clutch now. It is the lightest with the lowest moi and you can modulate it. I will have to look for the specs but I think the clutch and flywheel came in under 10 lbs. The only problem with it is cost. I think the stock clutch will hold plenty of torque and...
You can get about 750hp and tourque on pump gas. To spin 700rpm you nedd the GTs-r it has the smaller crank journals. Also the intake is not sufficiant. You need to go to an ITB setup. The early GTS-r intake had very short runners wich caused a loss of low end torque. The later ones had longer...
This is a very common problem from what my dealer told me. Dodge has been repairing these problems even on out of waranty cars under the Goodwill program. My Viper tech told me that the coating used did not bond well with the composite. He said his dealership has repaired several. They just did...
I have also had a few problems with the stock unit. I don't understand how just a new shift knob would help since it does not change the linkage. I am going to try the Hurst unit I would also like to try the B&M to compare them. The only other shifter I know of is the Competition Coupe...
The only way to compare numbers is to use the same dyno. I don't care if the dyno shows you make 250 hp or 2000 hp as long as it is consistent and all variables are taken into account.
Just my 2 cents
Re: Do all ACR\'s come with BBS wheels?
Don't plan on finding any cheap ACR wheels if you want to make it original again. I heard yesterday a set of 2 wheels went on ebay for close to $2000.
Re: Help! I can\'t remove my oil filter..
I had a filer that was stuck on a car I was restoring. I tried everything you did so far. finaly ended up cutting off the filter with a cut off wheel and welding a large nut to the base of the filter (the part with all the holes for the return not the...
On the 2001's you have the Dynamic shocks. They come with very heavy spring rates. I would change to a lower spring rate. I have a 2000 ACR with Konis which have a lower spring rate which I like. You already have tubes and filters so I would start with exhaust and cats, then headers, roller...
I being that they don't make 275/35-18 what is everyone using on the front. I wanted Kuhmos but I could not find fronts. I thought about going to 305/30-18 for the fronts. Does anyone have any recomendations?
I do know some places can repair cranks. I have never had this done but it may be worth checking out. Most of the time I hear about this it is on industrial engines.
I have a set of GTS-r heads that I just got. They are not stock from the factory however. I have found that they have larger valves and I think they have had some additional port work and Larger valve seats installed. They should make a difference on a race engine but I am not sure how much of a...
I decided if I was going to change the cam in my stock motor I would just get one from Crower or ane of the other manufacturers. You could get a custom grind for any work you have done to your car and will get more performance than a stock cam. Another thing the stock PCM may limmit your power...
How dificult is it to work with carbon fibre. I have some experience with fiberglass but I thought real carbon fibre had to be cured in an autoclave and took alot of specialized tools to work with it.
Lined up great it was a custom piece I built. It took under an hour. All you have to do is run a crossover pipe between the two main pipes. It should be the same material and dia. It also helps with alignment for me if you have to take the exhaust off again. In thory you should put it as far...
