How would you go about making the viper rev higher??

and would it be worth it?

I think the most interesting evaluation would be what the failure mode is of the stock motor. I.e. is it the valve train, is it the connecting rod bolts, is it high-rpm oiling to the journals, etc. Obviously the cam and heads aren't setup to flow at all above the stock range, but I would certainly be interested in hearing about the weak point(s). With proper flow, you could make a boatload of power with a bit more rpm... (say 6500-7000)

Talk to Kevin Singleton of Exotic Engine Developement/West Coast Viper. He use to be part of the Caldwell engine development team. He could tell you what it takes. Caldwell's Oreca engines ran in the high RPMS and I think they made around 750HP.
