Hey, guys. Thank you so much for all the replies. I forgot to mention....mine is a Gen 1 '94 RT/10. I think I am going to try replacing the thermostat and associated gaskets and see if that takes care of the leaks. If it still leaks, I'll go for the head gaskets next.

Thank guys. I am looking around for parts. It seems I can readily find the thermostat but can't seem to find the housing to block gaskets for the housing legs. What's a good place for these gaskets?
Hi all:
I posted earlier inquiring about correct procedure to remove the intake manifold so I could get to my thermostat housing gasket. I got that removed, but now I am not sure whether what I am looking at is a thermostat gasket housing leak, or a head gasket leak. I posted a photo below...
Hey guys - thanks for all the advice. I was out of town and didn't get to reply. Forgot to mention my car was a 95 RT/10. Ya, I didn't know that was the fuel line, but that makes sense. I'll look for the splitter and see if I can get it to seperate. Thanks!
Hi all:
I've got the thermostat housing coolant leak problem. Seems to be fairly common judginb by past posts. I'm in the process of removing the intake manifold to make some room and be able to get at the thermostat. I've got everything disconnected and ready to remove the intake manifold...
Hi all:
I have a '94 with 20k miles. It's got a lot of bugs and "gunk" built up and caked into the radiator and A/C condensor cooling fins. What's the best way to clean this out? I've heard a couple of things:
- pressure washer - but may be messy
- hydrogen peroxide spray to dissolve bugs...
Hi all:
I have a 94 RT/10. The temperatures runs a nice, steady 190 degrees going down the road. When idling or in stop and go traffic the temperature shoots up quick. It hits 225, and then the fan kick on and brings it back down to 190. Then the cycle repeats. It sits and heat cycles...
Hello:
I want to do the smooth tubes upgrade as described in the How To Article. I've already got the K&N's installed. I just need the tubes. I know Northwind sells a combo filter and tube kit, but I don't need the filter and it's too much to pay just for tubing. I also can't seem to...
I checked that site out. It's a cool concept to have all the info on-line including access to TSBs, but it $24.95/year. So its subscription based, rather than a one time purchase. Also, its easier to take a book out in the garage with you than have to print material each time and take with...
Jay Herbert---you are right. I researched this user a little further on e-bay. This user (1963lincoln) sells a lot of "service manuals"...and presumably all illegally copied. He or she has only 8 negative feedbacks, but in each case insults the people filing negative complaints. What a...
Hello All:
I recently posted a topic on a coolant leak I was having (and thanks for all the responses). In order to better work on my Viper in the future I ordered a 1994 Viper RT/10 Service Manual on e-bay as seen at http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1856689698...
I ran through the "burping" procedure last night and it seems to have cured the problem. As part of the burping procedure I had to add about a half a hallon of coolant into the system, so presumably I displaced that same volume of air from the motor. I am going to heat cycle it a few more...
Well I have taken off the facia and have determined that the overflow bottle is NOT cracked. However, now that I can run the motor and observe it, I can see that the leak is from the top of the overflow tank. There's a spout at the top meant to allow the coolant to escape if the bottle becomes...
Well the last time I drove it, temp was OK. It was a hot day. Temp was between 200 and 225 while I was driving it. That's about normal for it on a hot day and low speeds.
I can start it now, cold, and it will start dripping. That part is kind of blowing my mind because I would not think any...
Hello All, and thanks in advance for any help you can lend. I've got a problem with my Viper and the solution is not readily ovious to me even after reading several of the archived postings.
I have a 94 RT/10 and it has developed a coolant leak. I found coolant on the floor under the car and...
