Very cool idea with the PT Cruisers! I like how they turned out.
Vipzilla...are your matchbox all the same or different? Are you looking to sell any?

Great pics of the 1:18 scale Rent-A-Cars in this thread from ViperArry's collection.

Very cool! Glad you are considering the ColorComp route, you will not be disappointed.
Please keep me in mind to buy at least one of each of anything you have made. I collect any vipers made by ColorComp and I have a bunch of friends that do also!
Thanks, Eric
ColorComp will do an awesome job for you! Please keep in mind that for the Wedding and Baby vipers referenced above, most of the vipers were supplied to ColorComp. For my Baby vipers, it was an accumulation of extra vipers I got over the years by buying extras a little at a time at retail stores...
Just found this one for you YELLOW fans!!

I'm not 100% sure if my information is accurate on these, but a guy I knew that had them said they were only released through Chrysler dealerships.

2 months have passed and the wireless mice are just entering the country! Hopefully we receive them shortly.
I just got an update from the seller that "wired" versions are now available. They are $8 cheaper then the wireless version.

Sorry for your experience. I agree with you and personally have never bought anything from the Viper Store. To comment on your point above, the Jada's were also sold in tray form. My guess is the Store purchased them this way because their cost would have been cheaper (to buy and ship) then the...
Does this help at all?? Took a quick pic. Depth perception is a little off. Probably should've held my hand down farther. Anyway, I bought a Camaro police car for my Dad and it is just a little bigger then the Microsoft 4000 series wireless mouse that I normally use.
To my knowledge, the vipers are still on pre-order status. I doubt that anyone who has ordered one would have received it yet.
The seller in my link above offers great service. I ordered and paid for a thumb drive Saturday, he shipping Saturday, and it arrived Monday...from CA to PA in 2...
Just an FYI...this eBay seller is selling these for cheaper then the official website and also offers free shipping. Same seller has the 2GB thumb drives as well.

WOW!! Awesome display! I would love to see some close-ups.
I have over 1,300 vipers. Most are in 1:64 and smaller scales and include many minor variations such as packaging, wheels, bases, etc....but all are different in some way by my standards!
Eric
This Tracksters car is made by Jada which is the exact same company making the NEXGEN Muscle series that Sam also posted about.
If you don't care about the online game, but like the casting, you can go with the $2.97 version from Wal-Mart.
I can confirm that they actually came like this...with the caravan!! I've found 7 so far at various Wal-Marts, but they have all been spoken for. eBay is probably the best option at this point.

The above is the only yellow GTS that comes to mind in Matchbox size scale. Unfortunately since it was only issued in a 5-pack in 1999 it won't be the easiest to track down in quantity. Also, buying them 1 at a time + shipping, you can easily average $10-15 each which wouldn't be cost effective...
I just purchased these 2 on eBay. I think they look great and have never seen any of these before. The orange is 1 of 40 and the yellow is 1 of 19. I did some research in the forums here and found some information on the event, held in September of 2005, but I can't find any info on the cars...
The only Matchbox you will currently find in stores is a GTS-R and the only Hot Wheels is the Treasure Hunt coupe.
If you are OK with a different brand, I recommend Maisto. They have been making the same blue GTS & white GT2 for years. These are the ones you will find at Walgreens individually...
In this pic are the colors available. There is also white not pictured, making 8 total. The duplicate colors represent base variations as they are made by different companies. Here is a good thread if you are interested in the base and other company variations...The Matchbox Collectors'...
