Sean Roe's original kit does not work on a Gen 1. I don't know if he's working on one for his Gen 1 now. It looked pretty easy to me to cut the clutch rod and put in a good turnbuckle so that you could adjust the clutch for your personal preference. I just haven't felt like doing it yet.
Sounds close to mine.
I get about 15-16mpg back and forth to work and 23-24 on the highway. For some reason my gas mileage goes down during spring and fall though.
I've put over 30K miles on my car with these rockers and have never had a problem. They are not recommended over 6300 rpm per Crower. I have used these both on and off spray. I have hit the rev limiter a couple of times and had no problems. The major thing I would worry about would be road...
I was pulled for an 88 in a 55 when the officer said he had me on radar, but conviently erased it before showing it to me. I was doing 62 or so. Oh well, I figured I deserved it for some of those other times I had driven much faster. Get a good lawyer, chances are they know this jerk and he...
Try Tom Sessions at D&E Dodge in Wilmington for first class service. He even does house calls sometimes. 910-799-4210. I've also heard that M&L motors has done a few as well, but I don't know any of those guys.
Gerald,
There is definitely a lot of work involved in getting high quality stripes. Striping a Viper with all its curves is more art than science. Make sure you get it cleared over or it will be a major pain when waxing. I'd say $2500 is a fair price for a good quality striping.
Nothing says "Viper" like stripes. Pick the color you like the most. I think any metallic is good, but I like mine the best. Check out the VCA classifieds for the best deals on used hard tops. If you're buying new, I would look at Biff's at VMania.
I posted several pics of mine on the VCA...
I also considered doing this when I was running more camber in front and the wear was excessive on the inside. Unfortunately, I have had a tendency to wear out the rears quickly enough that it has always worked out about evenly. Also, Michelin keeps obsoleting tires so it wouldn't really help...
Re: 95\' RT/10 almost ate it at 135 MPH
You'll have to forgive Janni - she just doesn't understand. The only way her car sees the street is when she airs out the garage.
For us people who put around town (which is a lot for me)and sit in traffic, the urge to open it up when you're finally on...
Its amazing to me how much difference there is in dealing with Ma Chrysler. I had to pay half of the cost of getting my '94 hood fixed three years ago and I had the extended warranty. Other people get new hoods worth many times more. My hood looks good today and I've had no problems with it...
Re: \'94 Rt/10 with bolt on\'s really waking up now, 414 rwhp & 492 ftlbs...
I know you've done these mods one at a time and have dyno'd each time. How about putting HP/TQ increases you saw each time. As I remember it you started with a really strong GenI engine.
I do believe Doug was fibbing a little on that price. The cheapest I found for the DIY guy, was at the Nitrous Warehouse. The only down side is trying to get off the phone with John Stewart. The price was around $730 + another $300 for the GEN X kit.
I've seen a GTS with this system using...
I did some testing with this system. With the lowest jets (what they call 100HP), The fuel pressure dropped around .5 psi. With the 200 HP jets, the fuel pressure dropped around 2 psi to 52 and A/F ratios were in the 7 range. The bottle heater worked very well. I would recommend getting all...
Re: My Black \'94 with custom stripes
The paint is a Sherwin-Williams Multi-tone. Depending on the light and angle they are gold, silver, green or blue. The car looks even better with the 2000 rims I just stuck on it. However, I don't have pics with them on.
Fadi,
I don't know if they will fit or not, but I saw some advertised in JC Whitney for 3" pipes. I was thinking of ordering some for myself. Much cheaper than anything I've seen especially for Vipers.
I had 45K miles on my clutch and it was still working fine. I replaced it because it was pretty worn. A lot of these miles are easy, highway miles, but its not like I baby my car all the time.
Re: Stock MXX3\'s, do they stick after 10k miles?
I'm on my 4th set of tires now and I've noticed that after 10 to 12K miles the tires definitely break loose a lot more. 60' times appear .1 to .2 worse at this point. Where I notice it the most is in street driving where you have to be much...
Steve,
In case you've forgotten, you met Tom a couple of years ago at my house while eating barbecue chicken. He's done my headers a couple of times now. If you get down to Wilmington let me know and we'll get together.

Re: What I\'ve noticed about Mileage on a viper...
Adam,
Look on the bright side of these things. I broke in my new engine in 2 weeks. A lot of Viper owners wouldn't do this in 6 months. They wouldn't put wheels on them if they weren't meant to be driven.
As far as Doug goes, I've learned...
