I received a ballot for voting for a VCA Director at large, but it had no information on what that job entailed. Can someone please give us a good description of what the duties of this job are?
I had the TBs on my Gen 1 turned and polished which improved flow over 10%. Stock Gen 1s are almost 53mm on the back side. I had them opened to about 60. No change on the dyno, but I felt throttle response did improve.
I never noticed any real difference between open air or hard top when I drag raced with my old car that was set up pretty much like yours. It wasn't until nitrous and high mph (over 125) that I saw a difference.
I have run many places with the top off and I know that at previous VOIs it was...
I've shaved another 10 seconds off my time over the last two nights. I closed my eyes and all I see is a race track. Do real race drivers ever sleep?
I wonder if I could pass for Randy or Don's live at home step-son and go to the members day this coming weekend...

Headers, 3" Catless Exhaust...been there, done that. Extremely loud. It was fun being the loudest redneck around for awhile. I never noticed the smell unless the car was in a very tight area. Most Gen 1's burned very clean with/without cats.

The gap should be on the bottom side. When I did it I bought about 4 extra plugs and just used trial and error to get them in position within +/- 1/8 of a turn. It takes about 30-40 more minutes. I don't know if it made any difference, but I did it anyway.
I went to run an errand with a friend a year or so ago and left my old 94 with the car cover on, while I rode in his car. One of those really nasty southeastern T-storms started rolling in. We were about 1/4 mile from my car when it starting pouring. Thunder & lightning for more than 30...
I can't believe Dodge made this car without designing a hard top to be bought with the car. This is my biggest disappointment with the SRT, especially after dealing with so many questionable aftermarket products on my old Gen 1. I was going to wait on the SRT after I wrecked my old one, but...
Guys,
Don't just trust a cursory glance, although it should work on the front. You have to remove the rear end in order to properly inspect all of the rear failure points.
I'm sure glad I have a 2001!
This is a pretty good carshow, swap meet and chance to run your car down Rockingham's impressive 1/4 mile track.
I will be there Saturday, but not Sunday. Hopefully a few other Carolina's region guys will show up so we can have some fun.
They normally have a Viper pit especially for us, but...
The car will probably pass california emissions. The Gen 1 cars run pretty cleanly without the cats, unlike a lot of the Gen 2 cars I've smelled.
V-mania windows are a plexiglass type window that provides much better visibility, but lower weather tightness.
The sills yellowing will not be a...
According to Janni, I'm a heretic and blasphemer because I'm on my second set of Snake Oyl belts and like them fine. One thing to consider is that if you don't like belts you install the first time you will have ample opportunity to swap - you'll be replacing them every two years if you're...
Dyno'd my new snake (2400miles now)last night.
434HP/475Ft-Lb. A little better than I was expecting. Mods are K&Ns, Smooth tubes, 3" Corsa cat back, high flow cats & 1.7 arrow rockers.
That's a real shame. I know for a fact that the stock belts work very well. I used to worry about having a wreck with the hard top on and the VMania windows in, especially if there was a fire.
Re: Help!!! 5 point install on 00\' RT, need quick answers....
So that's how you disconnect that wire! I just left mine connected and worked around it. Oh well, maybe next time.
I just installed this exact system on my car and it does sound great, much better after the high flow cats were installed. A little louder and much less like the UPS truck at idle. I installed the exhaust then removed the remaining stock piece with the stock cat and 1st piece of the Corsa...
