Rear View Mirror (pain in the asp, blind spot!)

Hey all, has anyone relocated their rearview mirrow. I have a 1996 RT/10 and that stupid thing blinds my right side, esp going around a curve. Some has suggested placing it on the dash like the original 1950's corvette. Any suggestions? Also since I am at it.... Any easy way to put in a...

Importing a Viper to Canada? Insurance??

I gave up last year trying to get answers to that question. What I did find out was that the viper needs to be 1996 (dual airbag model) or newer. I purchased mine in the Toronto area. You should be able to find one in Canada with lower miles considering our winters. As everyone has...

    Different Levels of Ext. Warranty's?

Re: Different Levels of Ext. Warranty\'s? The levels offered by Chrysler are by year. You can get a one year up to 5 year extended coverage and that goes with mileage. As for the the level, When I purchased mine, I was only offered the Gold plan which covers everything, bumper to bumper. 5...

    Extended Warranties???

I find that strange, I mean Dodge USA and Dodge Canada must be different. I purchased my 96 viper RT/10 this past May with 12000 miles. The car had been registed in 1998 for the first time. Anyways, I put on a factory bumper to bumper warranty from Chrysler Canada (120000 km /5year) for...

    Winter storage QUESTIONS????

Ok, here in the true North, unfortunately there comes a time that my asp needs to hibernate. This is my first year in cold storage. I am taking the tires off and storing them in the house. What do I keep the suspension raised on? Are there any other storage tips? What should I be doing...

What should I offer for this.... Price games

Again, I paid 38,000 US. I put a factory 5 yr, 60000 miles bumper to bumper warranty at a cost of 4,500. So as far as math goes - thats 42,500. I still think my car is well worth it. There is no other car that has given me as much satisfaction in owing, not to mention all the looks! Good...

What should I offer for this.... Price games

From personal experience, In May I bought my 1996 Viper RT/10 White with blue stripes. Came with AC and a hardtop ($3000 option). 12,000 miles. The car is in absolutely mint condition. I searched for about 8 months without any success. So to answer your question - I paid $ 38,000 US...

My check wallet light is on :(

GenX - your completely right. I almost brought in my Viper for service because I couldn't get it started. Found out that the thickness of the floor mat was preventing the clutch from engaging the starter against the firewall. So mats are in storage now! (They are useless!)

Dropping from third gear into second - What can you get away with?

I usually run in 3rd gear on the city streets because I love the ability to step on the gas and move quickly. Yesterday I opened it up against a motorcycle and dropped it into second gear at about 50 mph. The rearend shifted sideways somewhat. What speeds can you get away with by shifting it...

    Thinking about building a garage.

They are just putting the garage doors on today. I have built a 30'wide by 26' deep garage. If you go ahead. I suggest 2 - doors to be 10ft wide by 8' high. My viper feels tight going into my other garage which has 9ft wide doors. A 10'door will accomadate easily a Excursion or pickup truck...
