Check this out ... Turns out it wasn't gone at all. It was there, just in pieces. The stick part of the cap assembly was bathing in the power steering fluid reservoir. The cap part was laying on a suspension piece on the driver's side.
I've never seen one come apart like that. But I've...
I recently had my stock '01 GTS appraised for $76K. I'll sell it to your friend for $12K off that and throw in the new car cover. All stock, 2,500 miles. Perfect!

The bright side of the response times on VCA\'s site
The bright side >> I get LOTS more done around the house. Whenever I click a thread link, I run outside and mow my front yard. When I get back in the house, the thread is almost done loading.
Yesterday, I painted the wife's part of...
I think of mileage relative to the car - Is 50K on a 10 year old Viper high. Yes, because it's the exception. Is 50K high on a 1996 Corvette - Nope, it would be a selling point then because it's much lower than normal.
I do have a bias for low mileage cars, and that sometimes limits my...
Craig, I'll get that ordered! Thanks for the info, especially the "no drilling" part ...
EDIT: Chad, I won't need that power steering cap after all. I ordered it alongside the vent tube kit to take advantage of ease and one shipping charge. Thanks again!

Hey VS! Where on the pump did you wrap the wire? I'm fairly familiar with safety wiring ... but never considered doing a power steering cap - Until today that is!

As Randy Jackson likes to say on Idol ... "It wasn't the best song choice, but you did your thing. It just didn't work for me this time, Dawg."
I like originality, but that red lip in particular is just a bit too 'original' for me. But I'm a purist at heart.

Remember my post about the appraisal on my GTS the other day? I just sent a copy of that to my insurance carrier. Here's an interesting turn of events.
At Viper Alley, we were joking about my car catching on fire since it appraised for a bit more than it's worth. It was mentioned that some...
Gotta love ZR1's - Until you need one worked on! Congrats on narrowing your choice to what I think is the absolute best models one could own. But I'm biased of course ...

Re: i-van Appraisal on my \'01 GTS - Nice Surprise!
Sold for $79K new with the Gas Guzzler and delivery. I know the number is high, but like I said over at VA - Let's just let that be our little Gen II secret.
Yeah, maybe it is the color!

i-van Appraisal on my \'01 GTS - Nice Surprise!
After seeing another person mention i-van (International Vehicle Appraisers Network), I called them to have someone sent to my house to do my GTS. They came out and spent over an hour looking at the car.
I about fell over when they brought the...
I must be shopping at different places. I've had three different Sirius attennas, and neither of them were bigger than the smallest Post It pads that I have here in my office.

Chuck is 100% correct on that one! Not only is he right, he's also got more than 100K on his Viper ... So you should give him the benefit of the doubt!
