When I put in the mopar performance controller the skip shift was eliminated. If you plan to upgrade or flash the computer, don't spend money on the elimitator. If you are staying stock, and it annoys you, get the eliminator, it is a very very easy install.
I have had the Snake Oyl cruise in mine for over 2 years now and no problems. I have driven my 05 to Massachusettes and back to Florida 3 times. The 2 with the cruise were much easier on the legs and I'm only 43. Throw in a couple of trips to Texas and I have had some long trips. I love...
There was a post here not long ago talking about a RB1 for $585 from moparpartszone.com. I can't find that post to find out how it went so here is my post.
I ordered one, they wrote back that it was the wrong part number. The 82206406AB($585:) ) not for the Viper. The 82208715AE($1618.50:omg: )...

I added the snake oyl one to mine also, works great. If you really don't like the look, the control head is a transponder so just keep it in the center console and pull it out when you need it, like a Garage door opener!
It is hot and sticky! It's not snowing but it is getting deep!
It won't let me post the .bmp and when I converted to .jpg this is what I got. If I can respond to a pm with an attachment, I will send the .bmp to you.
You know you hear all the stories about vipers. They have this, don't have that but will have this! Well I figure I would finally confirm the existance of the Limited Edition 2005 4 Door Viper. It came stock with Cruise, power top, traction control and a high compression 700HP V12! Great for...
Does anyone know if any of the aftermarket snap on hard tops will meet code. I have heard you can get one at some of the events for use at the event but am not sure.
I have the mopar race exhaust, cam and controller. The exhaust came with the capability to hook up the up and down stream O2 sensors. We did run into a problem after the install with blowing a fuse. Evidently the downstream O2 sensors and the reverse lock out are on the same circuit. Since I...
Longevity is a definate wish! I have 25,000+ on my 05 already and I hope to be able to pass this car on to my son one day. Like when he's 30 or 40 and won't kill himself!
I've driven all over with Massachusettes being the longest trip and I have had no battery issues. I use 6th all the time for cruising at 55+. It does not feel abnormal to me, it is like the car is just idling at that speed. Laying in wait, coiled, but relaxed and comfortable - ready to strike!
Evo, I bought my first mopar performance computer as soon as they came out and they did not control the a/c well. Freon vented, a/c would freeze up etc. They evidently fixed the problem and now the performance computer has an AB at the end of the part number. You are correct, they only have...
When on a road trip, what's wrong with 1200/1300 rpms? I use 6th at 60/65 all the time. I can shift when I need to pass and it is not like it is chugging or anything.
I know you did not mention it, but don't go mopar performance cam and computer. I did and have the mopar exhaust. I wanted to go all mopar. I like the sound but the cam and controller are definately not worth the money. Wish I would have put the money elsewhere like a reflash or something.
I am now on my 3rd computer. I have the stock one, the mopar performance one that didn't controll the A/C well and the new mopar performance one. When I dyno'd with the first performance one I was a little rich. I guess my question is, could the first performance one be reflashed and control...
My stock 05 AC worked great, then I put in the Mopar race computer and it sucked. It would vent the freon, then freeze up and not blow at all. I replaced with the new race computer (which I think Mopar should have swapped out for free but didn't!) and it works great now. I get cold air in any...
JD, I have an 05 with the mopar cam, exhaust and computer, if I made the trip up could you do anything with my tune or do I have to have the VEC3? I replaced the performance computer with the new performance computer to better handle the A/C so it is not the same one from my Dyno here...
After my mopar mods, my Viper Tech and I found out the down stream O2 sensors and the reverse lock out are on the same electric circuit. Blew a fuse. May want to check fuses also.
I had to patch the rear original tires once each on my 05. I put 23000 miles on them and never had any problems with the patches including a couple of days at the local drag strip. For average use and using a good tire repair shop, I have absolutely no concerns with riding on a patched tire...
When I installed mine, the thing I did different was I dropped the panel below the steering column, rebent the bracket that came with the transmitter and mounted it to that panel. I bent it so the controller is flush mounted but can still slide out to change the battery when needed. It is...
Practice, Practice, Practice! Every chance I get I practice no spin launches. I don't care who's watching even if I'm only trying to get to 35mph quick! lol. What I can't do is smoke the tires. Must be a coordination thing!
