I hate problems like that.
That's EXACTLY like the problem I had 18 years ago when I was in High School.........
Bought a 74 Duster, and couldn't figure out if I still wanted to keep it, or sell it and keep my 76 Cutlass.
I could've made an easy 50 bux on that deal had I done it !!!!!
Re: HELP !! I don\'t want to get my doors blown off by a \'03 Cobra this weekend !!
The Cobra ran high 11's , but he DID have the pulley set up on the car. That's still very impressive for a car that retails for less than 1/2 of what a new Viper does.
A rubber elbow fitting on the front ends of both my valve covers, and are connected together with a long tube, and they "T" off and connect to the left side of the Airbox.
What are these tubes and Why does it leak oil ?? Is this supposed to be a problem on these '96 GTS's ??
Ever since I...
I was told that if you have a crossover pipe in front of the muffler installed, it'll eliminate the resonation of the Borla exhaust system. Is this true ??
So in other words, changing a thermostat sux.
Well then, I guess I'll look into other avenues for a little extra go power. I'll have all winter to do so.
This guy walks up to me at the race track on Saturday, and tells me to put a 160 thermostat in my Viper, and it'll actually knock a tenth off my time. I turn away for a second, and look back, and he's gone.
Is there any truth to this ??? Anyone ever tried it ??
I dunno if a broken accelerator pedal is a common problem, but he said that the dealer was going to get a visit on Monday morning. I'm sure the'll replace it, no problem.
Ok, I'll ask..........Where's the Viper Chix ???
Feel free to photshop if you need to, just do me a favor and feed my pathetic one track mind.
Thank you, DD
Here we go again.......
I'm still gonna plead " No Comment" in fear of incriminating myself.
I will say this off the record:
Shallow Chicks are Cool !!
Actually, The '03 Cobra admitted that he did have the pulley mod on it. He changed it again to an even smaller pulley and blasted through the quarter at a 11.8 et his 1st run. He was quickly informed that if he went under 12.0 again, he was going to be yanked for the day. He basically worked...
I still have to try and improve my 60' time. On that pass it was a 1.98, and my best 60' was a 1.92 when I ran a 12.37 et.
I was able to get 15 runs in Saturday for some decent practice. I only went under a 2 second 60' run twice.
I really tried slipping the clutch off the line which did...
Well, I combined all of the input from you guys on the board, and I applied it to the track on Saturday.
New results: 12.29 @ 119.8 mph
What do you think of that ?? I'm pretty happy, and I'll go for it again next April when the track opens in the Spring.
Thanks Guys !!!

Re: HELP !! I don\'t want to get my doors blown off by a \'03 Cobra this weekend !!
Well, I'm heading out early in the morning with the guy and his '03 Cobra and I'll post our results here when I get back Sunday. I also got smooth tubes put on this afternoon. We'll have to see what a 50...
Re: I\'ve just completed the Viper Sex Appeal analysis..
This is a GREAT topic.
I think I'll leave it alone with a "No Comment", in fear of incriminating myself.

Sounds cool, but I doubt any of that'll happen before Saturday morning.
Is it a good idea to powershift? If so, All gears, or certain shifts ??
