2003 Viper V10 Nationals DVD Review

I just talked to Brandi at Multimedia, and she told me that the microphone on their camera wasn't working properly. She was there, and she felt the excitement of the sounds of Vipers screaming down the track. She agrees completely, and she promised that the DVD for next year will have a real...

2003 Viper V10 Nationals DVD Review

I watched the video yesterday, and I agree 100%. Don't get me wrong, I really enjoyed the video and the music, and it was worth the money. But, I really was disappointed that there were no sounds of screaming V-10's, burning rubber, interviews, and candid racer chit-chat.

    Correction factors for drag racing

Does anybody know how to apply correction factors to compensate for temperature and altitude during drag racing? Obviously, your times will vary depending on atmospheric conditions, and it would be nice to know how to objectively compare a time of 10.6 at 70 degrees versus 11.2 at 85 degrees...

    Line lock questions

Hi Gary, Thanks for the info. Sounds like it will be a lot easier to do a good burnout with the line lock. Hope to see you at some future events. As far as enjoying the HP, my only problem has been trying to wipe the smile off my face. Best regards, Russ.

    Line lock questions

I need some basic info on using a line lock. What type is best for a GTS? Best technique for use? Thanks for the help.

What if C6 Z06 has over 500HP...would sell the Viper?

From the moment I saw the Viper GTS prototype at the Indianapolis car show, I KNEW that someday I would have one. I've owned many cars over the years, but I never had the burning, all consuming desire to own a specific car like I have felt with the GTS. To me, the GTS embodies all of the...

Exhaust Upgrade Help (which one do I get)

B&B headers, no cats,B&B 3" exhaust with X-pipe. LOUD! My guess would be 40 HP increase, but it sounds like a 100 HP increase. Good luck.

How do you quite down a 3 inch exhaust?

Sell your Viper, and buy a Honda Accord. That way, everybody will be happy - EXCEPT YOU! It's YOUR car - set it up the way YOU want. Noise is in the ear of the beholder. My car is so freakin' loud that people run for cover when they hear it. That's the way I like it. I didn't buy my car to...

My Heffner SC is AWESOME!!! --w/pics

Congrats Casey! Your car looks great, and you will NEVER regret spending the money for SCi. Keep in mind - there is a learning curve with these beasts. Take it easy until you learn what your car is capable to doing. Russ

Car and Driver states this is a face that will scare Vipers.

The Lambo "Murcielago" is translated as "bat". As I recall, Vipers eat bats for lunch. Bring it on!

Viper World: I need your support to prove the Viper is still the best!!

Hi Wayne, you can consider it done. Best of luck to both Vipers.

Viper World, I too need your support for the Ultimate Street Car Challenge!

Hi Paolo, you will one of the ten I select for sure. I bought the magazine lastnight - it gave me an excuse to get my GTS out for a quick (and I do mean quick) trip to the grocery store. Good luck!

How many people have SC on their car?

Jason Heffner finished my car a few weeks ago. Extreme performance in every category. If you make the decision to SCi, you will never regret it. I can't get enough of it - like a kid with a new toy, and the SOUND is orgasmic.

    Addicted to the sound ....

After taking delivery of my SCi GTS from Jason Heffner 3 weeks ago, I seem to be looking for reasons to take it out. Tonight it was a long trip to the grocery for some ice cream. Didn't really need it, but it was the best excuse I could come up with. The sound of the supercharger is just...

550 miles in my Heffner SCi GTS - Long

Last Saturday, I picked up my 96 GTS from Jason Heffner. A friend and I took my wife's 2002 ZO6 from Indiana to Baltimore. We left about 3 AM, and we got there about 11:30 AM. Jason's new shop is coming together real well, and it's the perfect place for advanced snake surgery. My car was...

    Heffner's Performance new shop!!!!

Re: Heffner\'s Performance new shop!!!! I'm picking up my 1000SCi 96 GTS this weekend - can't wait. It must be the blue/white one on the right. Planning a quick trip back to Indiana. The only problem I can think of is TRACTION. Jason is a hard working, stand-up guy with integrity. He...

    Need Viper washing tips

Get a boar's hair brush from Griot's Garage. It will not scratch the surface like mits, sponges, nylon brushes, rags, etc. I use a Wet Blade to remove about 90% of the water in less than 5 minutes, then I finish with an electric leaf blower. One last hint - be sure to rinse with soft water...
