    For example, in a non-ACR version, I don't think that you can say your car is STOCK if you add K&N's and smooth tubes (10 RWHP is 10 RWHP after all !!!) In my case, my GTS was FACTORY STOCK except that I removed the spare tire!!

    What are the best 1/4 mile times ever compiled for a FACTORY STOCK Gen II Viper?? (FACTORY STOCK= for non-ACR version: NO K&N's, NO smooth tubes, NO headers, NO catback, NO slicks or drag radials, mufflers and cats must not be removed) I did 11.894s (60' of 1.790s).

    It would be a great idea to have a list on the website which would set out the best 1/4 mile times for Stock Vipers; N/A Vipers and F/I Vipers.

    I've found that I achieve better trap speeds in shifting @ 5000rpm instead of 6000rpm (redline)!!! By the way, great runs with a "creampuff" Viper!!

    Powershifting: WOT EVEN when you're stepping on the clutch pedal. When you speedshift, you are WOT only when the clutch pedal is disengaged (speedshift means that you shift as fast as you can). Powershifting != Speedshifting You could powershfit really slowly if you want, I guess!!

    Launching technique: 2500rpm, clutch slip, gradually step on the gas to avoid wheelspin. Shifting technique: NO powershifts,WOT on each gear and speedshifting @ 5000rpm until 4th gear!!! Results: 60': 1.790s on Michelin Pilot Sport ET: 11.894s with a FACTORY STOCK Gen II Viper

    I live in Montreal (Québec, Canada) and I can tell you that this is the worst place in North America for potholes (Guinness Record approved)... I suggest you the 17' wheels to soften the ride!!

    New Viper Owner (Gen II)!!

    I am from Montreal, Canada. The car was not damaged nor stolen. I checked the VIN and the car was fully inspected by Chrysler. The original owner simply repainted it by pure caprice. I do not like the stripes too, so I prefer the current color... but that's just me!!! ;)
