    Note there is no such thing as an ACR motor. All engines in all years have been identical. The only differences was GT/2 and ACR had smooth inlet tubes in the 1998 - 2002 time frame.

    Are you suggesting that you had wheel hop without spinning? Did not think that was possible. I would guess based on your description you were spinning wildly. Launch from a lower rpm and squeeze the go pedal. 1/2 to 3/4 throttle in first. Increasing in second as it hooks.

    Nope concept was called Viper. Copperhead came out several years later and was similar to the Saturn Sky and brethren.

    Check the archives of Viper Magazine. Pretty sure it was explained either there or in VCA Notes. Better to read the whole story than state it in a single sentence.
