Matt I pinned my crank today using Roe's kit. I removed the hood and air cleaner housing. It's not necesary to move the engine. The most difficult part was getting the crank bolt loose. Question:If it's that tight why am I doing this...
Re: My unbelievable E-bay, Florida, scam! I lost $1000.00 - Beware
Chris thanks for sharing.I have been in the car hobby for 25+ years and found that the meaning of perfect or like new is diffrent for everyone. The hobby has devised a grading system to help minimize misunderstanding between...
I asked Tator to Fedex his magic wand to help me resolve a fuel line problem.
He said that he has to hold his wand for it to work.Bummer.Well the advice was helpful, the wand wasn't necessary and the problem is resolved Thanks to the Wizard.
Re: Anyone see Spike tv\'s top 50 cars??
One of you messin with the satellite feed? One min. into the show it starts blacking out.I think I saw 15min.of the program.
Naw must have been some RICERS.
Re: WOOOHOOO!!!! Got it!
Welcome CROM Beautiful Car. I live in Leesburg and have my GTS serviced by Dulles Dodge on Rt 50. It's a newer facility that will do inspection and emissions test. It's a good place to get your oil changed...buy the oil elsewhere they supply the filter.
Andy, That is a convoluted way of doing business. Doing business through a third party gives you little to no recourse and is difficult to explain to the IRS if your ever audited. Rick
$1500 paid to the county for 2004 on my 2001 GTS(based on an assesment of 50K). Lived in MD last year, no personal property tax but there is a county tax due with the state tax return which was 75% of the state tax. VA is a better deal for us.
Eric I have the same problem and it's done this from day one. I shift from 1st to third until warm up. Mine feels like a grind(syncro).I don't have the heart to leave it at a Dodge Dealer overnight. Maybe when the 3 year warranty is almost up I'll get it addressed. If you decide to investigate...
Look at my sig. Does it look like I care if GM or Ford makes a better performance car? Dodge is better known for bullet proof drive lines not fit and finish.I'm used to the negative comments about Hemis being overated STUMP PULLERS however their reputation says otherwise. The Viper is...
Thanks Gary. The problem is the worst during cold weather. As much as I hate to trust a Dodge Dealer with my car, especially overnight, it looks like it's my only option. So Jerry Dodge it is.
Thanks for the suggestions. I spoke with Chuck Tator and he thought there could be a transmission problem ,I wish he was a little closer.I have the MGW shift knob which does increase shifting effort but I sense that there is grinding .
Hello everyone. From day one,car purchased new,the transmission is difficult at times to get into second gear. From my past experiences with 4speed cars it feels like a syncro problem.During the winter months I just go from 1st to 3rd until the transmission is up to temp. The Dodge dealer thinks...
The garage door mechanic said that a standard (home use) operator cannot lift a door with an extra section so they will not gaurantee the operator.I like the CYTEC system and will go that route when the door issue is resolved.
Road King, Did you meet with the garage door company? I have the same ceiling height and got a rather expensive quote to modify the door and install a side mount operator.$1200 was a guess but could be more.
Forget the radar detectors. A friend of mine was pulled over in VA.He had a remote unit(detector in the grill). The officer said that he was equipped to detect fuzz busters and gave him a ticket. He showed the officer that the unit was turned off, but got the ticket regardless.Myfriend did not...
You guys are great...one of the many features of the VCA.I read a previous post that stated the motor was mounted on the side for additional clearance.Does this require a special motor? Since the door is very light I don't see the need for commercial components. Rick Ciotti
Got an estimate today and the contractor is quoting BIG numbers to do this.I have a standard 7ft door and a 10ft garage ceiling. He says the lift motor is $1000 plus $500 to modify the door!!.Since the door just needs to clear the same opening, why the special motor??
Rick...
