Well, got home and it was pretty easy to diagnose. The two month old battery failed. It would not take a charge anymore. It got weaker and weaker over the last week or so. New battery.....problem solved. These cars obviously need a strong and healthy battery or weird things start happening.
My 2003 just started resetting the trip meter every other time I get in it too! Not a biggie, but it never used to do that. Has a 3 month old battery that is charged up also. My Viper does not hesitate to start though. Anyone else see this? Thanks.
I bought the JTSVP steering lines, had a shop install them when my pump went out....and have no problems. Been 6 months so far. My OEM were oozing and wet from leaking.
Thanks Paul...that is kind of what I was looking for because I don't see many vipers for sale with miles that high. That is the variable on this car I wanted to get some community feedback on. thanks.
WTF are you talking about??? "This Tactic?" I never made a low-ball offer...and 80K miles is certainly on the higher side for ALL the vipers I see for sale.
I am simply asking others what they think. The higher miles concern me. OK with you?
E-mailed the owner and had some dialogue. I really want this car but he has in his head it is worth $33-$34K with 80K miles. And his lowest is $30K. I would give him $25K on the spot...but he mentioned being low-balled by others...so I held off.
What would you guys/gals realistically...
I would leave it as-is and just drive it around. I messaged the owner. I will see where it goes from there. Kind of thinking like Free says. Another $10K and I could get one with 50K fewer miles possibly.
Well, I am freshly, legally and happily divorced with more money to do with than I could imagined while married. No kids between us, so that is good. I feel very blessed to have such a good job that affords me my guilty pleasures. My daily driver is a MINT Gen III that I love. But I am...
John B. That is where I got mine. He also has a few extra parts for 2003 vipers....a hardened cross pin. He set me up... Local guy installed. Been perfect.
Yep. Talk to Steve. Great guy to work with.

Just got my Autoform Time Attack spoiler and had it lined up and mounted in 30 minutes. Easy install and is very secure. Looks great. Went with factory color. Finishes off the rear end which is something the Gen 3 Verts needed. Pics are good, but it looks even better in person. It looks...
This is with constant and steady throttle. Not accelerating or decelerating.
But, yes I have experienced what you describe...but my issue is with a steady light throttle.
My 2003 with 21,000 miles is surging "lightly"at low rpm about 1500-2000 rpm in 2nd and 3rd gear with light throttle. You can definitely feel it. Seems to be getting worse. You can feel it bucking back and forth more and more and now you can even see the tach needle move up and down.
Any...
Well I must concede. It seems more guys are out there that have tried going CATless and had to throw in the towel due to fumes. I swear mine is not bad at all. Maybe my nose is just used to it. I think the concensus is that Hi-flows are your best choice. Now I still have the crosspipe...
Like steve e said the alcohol and vaseline method stinks!!! I searched some more home remedies and found either olive oil or coconut oil will do a good job. Since I did not have any olive oil...I did coconut oil (why the heck I had coconut oil is beyond me.) But rubbing the leather down with...
If a member does not have some...they are on ebay all day long for $225 plus some shipping. Just saw 5 sets from I think the same vendor! Not sure what that is about...
