Viper04blk, I did some reading how to soften and recondition hard leather. I read that you soak the leather with rubbing alcohol. Then towel pat it dry. Then rub a butt load of vaseline (no pun intended) into the leather. (Front and back) I did this on mine and it really seemed to work...
Well, currently I have the stock air intake tube with S&B Filters from Roe Racing on my Gen 3 Viper. Not sure why, but for the heck of it, I ordered the K&N intake to check it out.
I was not really impressed. Here are my impressions:
1. Overall the filter area seemed to be less than the...
I guess Sean will be learning a lesson about disclosing the truth and returning customer's calls. If one of my employees treated a customer that way, they'd be fired or damn close to it! He clearly did not have an honest approach with this sale. Avoiding a customer's concerns/calls is the...
You can use this to check your part numbers just to be sure. http://roeracing.com/oe-parts/index.asp
and this website has instructions on changing a shifter, which includes the boots... http://ipsco.org/Viper_files/GEN%20IV%20STS%20Installation%20Instructions%20v0%207.pdf
This should help...
OMG..are you for real? Who the heck's coolaid you been drinking??? IT IS A NEW CAR!!!! The dealership screwed up..not the buyer! How you rationalize this is the buyer's fault is UNFREAKIN believable! The dealer sold him a NEW car telling him it was perfect...and it was not. How do you...
My three things that I do all the time according to my wife are: 1. Bitch about how lazy the kids are, 2. Bitch about how much money we blow on crap (not my crap of course) 3. Bitch about her hanging out with her "Single lady" friends. (they are a bad influence on her)...they wonder why there...
EXACTLY my thoughts!!!! With it being new...(sticker still on the windshield.) It is absolutely reasonable for a buyer to assume it is in perfect condition unless otherwise stated by the seller...which the "rookie" sales guy stated it was. Shame on the salesperson for NOT returning a...
looks like good fit and finish.....looks good with the top in. Just not sure I like how the back opening is rounded with the top out...but obviously there is no other way to do it.
7th Sign....even with the few fixes, I love your car!!!!! When I bought my Gen 3, the guy told me it was perfect also. Come to find the tires were 11 years old, shocks were all leaking, it had the mufflers cut out and had strait pipes, and had an oil leak. I bought it anyway hoping it would...
Give Sean Roe a call. I did...he is great. Those midpipes do not need any welding. They use the stock V clamp on the flex side and I believe the regular clamp on the muffler side too. And all you have to do for the sensors is tie them up out of the way. They will not throw a code. Sean Roe...
Lousy idea?!?!? Keep in mind I never said strait pipes...I said strait "pieces" where the cats were removed. I still have my mufflers and crossover...so I still have back pressure. Not running strait pipes all the way...hell no...that WOULD be a Lousy idea and horrendously loud. :2tu...
I had a muffler shop cut out my cats and weld in strait pieces. One of my CATS failed....so I elected to get rid of them all.
Here is a better option: http://www.roeracing.com/ProductCart/pc/3-Cat-Delete-Mid-Pipes-with-Flex-Joint-2003-2010-Dodge-Viper-215p500.htm
Subscribed. I am interested in this too. My 2003 is pretty much stock. I want to be prepared. How many miles did yours have and did you race or drag race launch often. Mine is not raced or dragged. Just my daily driver!! Just! haha.
FinalEd357...you are exactly right! Viper is all fixed up. Shop put a new steering pump and I elected for aftermarket lines from JTS Venom, new plug wires and plugs, new water pump while it was in. And finally a new set up OEM motor mounts. It is back home and running better than ever!
My Gen 3 is hard to get into reverse. I have to get the reverse syncros spinning and right when you can hear them about ready to stop...put it into reverse. Then it is good to go. Never gotten worse...been that way since I bought it a year ago. If I don't spin up the syncros and try to...
I really like the rear spoiler....can you post some more pics of it.. Close ups, side view shots, and all around? And obviously...where did you get that spoiler? Is this it...
