Jeremy Clarkson of Top Gear testing the 1992 Viper

That was a fun "watch". Yes, some very funny sayings. Never new there was a spare in the trunk in early vipers!

    Website?

I am going nuts.. I live in Nebraska and we just got about 30 inches of snow. Roads have been snow packed and turned to ice in most spots. My Viper has been stuck in the garage for 3 weeks now. Barring snow, i will drive it in any climate...even rain. But ya, not much to report other than...

Happy to be a new Viper owner and VCA member

Mine is an 03 as well. I have a few more miles than you but still I am guessing you have the ORIGINAL tires like I do. If so, those tires are nearly 12 years old and hard as rocks. Be careful. Mine are OEM, very hard, and offer poor traction. I am getting a new set of Nitto Invos soon...

Rattle in back of car fixed. Shock bolts!!!

This weekend I searched every possible cause for a rear-end rattle behind the passenger seat. I made a long list from all the posts and systematically checked each one off as I made sure the rattle was not coming from that. Where I believe most of the rattle came from is a bolt on each side...

Windows not lowering when door opens??

I did the reset mentioned by TheOldViperMan, and it did seem to reset the passenger window... I could see it drop a quarter inch upon opening and closing the door. However, it was still hitting the top of the convertible top window sill. I eventually had to bend the end of the sill up a hair...

Windows not lowering when door opens??

Does anyone know the answer to kenbrackins question? My passenger side does not go down that 1/4 inch when opening the door...so it hits the convertible top and does not seal until you lower it and raise it back up. My driver side works...it goes down just a smidge automatically when opening...

Rattle in back of car fixed. Shock bolts!!!

Well, after a week of driving with the new bolts...I have to say the rattle is much less noticeable...but it is still there. I think it may be my lower shock bushings. The rubber is cracked. Anyone change them to help fix the damn rattle that seems to be coming from the passenger rear...

Rattle in back of car fixed. Shock bolts!!!

It's probably been posted, but if any of you Gen 3 owners (mine is an 03) are experiencing a rattle when driving over sharp bumps in the road, it may just be your rear shock bolts. 3 days ago I pulled the OEM ones which are tapered for crying out loud...and allow a tremendous amount of play...
