I havent had a chance to read a C&D, Road&Track or Motor Trend in ages and wanted to know what kind of performance times they were getting on the Gen4's.
1/4, top speed etc.
Seems like the car would be good for some high 10's with a good tire and launch.
Anyone gotten any times at the...
I have read many threads lately concerning the 08 pcms and some in the past saying the 08 pcm were giving them issues while doing some basic mods.
Sorry if this is a repost, but trying to figure out if heads/cam or even basic exhaust is possible without causing the pcm to seize.
I see...
This is the way to perform a DIY build. Take your time, get some really good parts and enjoy the process. I would say the 600 mark will be achieved easily and I cant wait to see/hear the car. Very nice setup.

considering the battle those guys had back in the day, I think the word would have gotten around real quick if this was an all motor car running 40's.

Since it is cold now I am bad about starting the car and letting it warm up while I do something else. With the windows up and if the doors automatically lock, that would/is gonna piss me off when I have to search for the extra keys to open the back window on the rt.

Does anyone know if the VEC2 can be upgraded into the VEC3? Mainly trying to see if it can utilize the IAT's and whatever else the VEC3 uses/analyzes to tune. I wanted to ask here before bugging Sean.

looks good Sean and it sounds like this unit is far more user friendly considering the changes you made in simplifying the engine management system.
Take care

I remember going in 98 and walking into the warehouse where they keep the cars. That was when the GT2's came out and they were still making the prowlers.
What a sight to see several hundred cars(prowlers, GT2, GTS and RT/10's) all mixed in together.
^^^ya but I gotta hear the car rumble at idle and scream like a wild ape as it goes thru the rpm's. nothing like it.
On my current h/c I went with a grind that is suitable for boost and went ahead and had Greg Good put in the inconela(sp) valves just in case turbos go on the car.
I love the...
without a doubt, but to me nothing compares to the rumble of a big block. in a way the n/a route also seems a little more civil as far as driveability goes. It is essentially just making the motor breath better and being more efficient vs. forcing it to take in the air.
now dont get me wrong...
