I saw a wheel cover on a Jeep Wrangler the other day that said "Jeep Austin Weird".
....got me in a quandary - I love UT, not a huge Austin fan, I feel a tad hypocritical.... There is a lot of nuts in that fruit cake if you know what I mean :D
Wheel hop is mainly a product of IRS and suspension. Tire type & condition amplify this. The Sport Cups are real bad until they warm up. This is the reason many drag only terminator Mustangs convert to solid rear axles or install 2x4 blocks in the suspension effectively prohibiting any...
I've used these folks twice, once from Miami to San Antonio and secnd from Hollywood to San Antonio. $1000/each. Both enclosed. Vehicle received within 3 days without a scratch. The one that came from Hollywood is extremely low to the ground, not a problem. The one that came from Miami rode...
Are we going to have a donut contest this year on top of the parking garage? I just saw a piece of "Tokyo Drift" thought about the parking garage yet again.....
50 Vipers & 1 Huffy.
Had a great time joining all of the NTX guys for this event. Made me a bit homesick.
Look forward to seeing some of you at the Round Up.
On the lighter side.... Being Born in Ft Worth and raised west of town I consider that area home. Love San Antonio but Ft Worth is still home. A buddy...
See for yourself.....

FWIW - I've been at events with 4 '94's lined up side by side, all built within a span of 6 months of each other. No 2 were alike. Different trunk lids, different other molding bits and pieces. Pretty cool actually, like the car was constantly evolving. Not simply each year but on the fly...
I'm discussing 2 different vehicles both with StopTech 2-piece ACR rotors. 1 with ACR Brembo calipers and the other with StopTech calipers. Stock Brembo pads are junk as you probably already know.
Can't figure out how to edit previous post on iPhone app.
One thing I did notice with the new StopTech rotors and pads was the first few stops were very interesting (during bedding process), on the first 4 or 5 stops in the very first set of 10, a different wheel locked each time at different brake pressure applications (1st stop was left front, 2nd...
I'm biased owning a very modified 94. If I were to speculate on collector value I'd weigh the 1992's at the top. The 93's being early and 1st full production year are cool but IMO will fall into the 1965/1966 Mustang category where the 1964.5's are basically the same car they have more value...
I want ABS, just not available on a Gen1. Don't know if a Gen2 system could be adapted to Gen1's and early Gen2's. Would be a great idea, just never researched it.
Summarizing what I remember from the StopTech bedding procedure:
80-10mph as hard as possible (do not allow to lock or come to complete stop)
repeat this 10 times
Drive on highway (or track) without using brakes for 5-10 minutes (if possible) to allow to cool.
Repeat whole process 3 times...
Most days I'm just fishing....Today I was catching!!!!
Every car show I go to I always seem to get approached and told about someone's friend who has a Mustang that will beat a Viper....the Corvette's, Supra's & bikes that have been slain by the mighty steed, etc.
Just being my usual...
Glad there were no human injuries! Even with new PS2 tires the non-ABS cars simply do not stop as well as modern ABS cars even with crappy tires the ABS is superior. I have had several close calls with the Gen1 from simply not actively thinking about the extra distance needed with no ABS.
Cars...
No. It's a Boss 302 with a pulley and tune pushing 1186 to the wheels. He just did the mile pass at 271.38mph on pump gas. He went down to TX2K11 last year and pulled on a Supra so hard that he had time to beat it, stop, get out and wave and the Supra as it passed by. He hasen't been beat...
Awesome on the PS2's - I'd still burn them off befor you go on deployment. When you come back they will be all hard and greasy, you'll want the new Super Sports anyhow.
Lots of military on the board - Semper Fi!
One like this ($14):

As for the hose any 3/8" oil/fuel line. It will not be in use for more than 2-3 minutes. Some of the new fuel lines have a teflon/plastic sleeve inside and are a PITA to slop over the barbs of the filter w/o heat. The oil...
Many folks have them. The reports are they love them. They are much cheaper than Michelins. VPA has them for less than $1200/set.

Welcome - great color. Before you change the runflats you have a civic duty to destroy them so no one else can use them - I'd find a parking lot and have some donuts........
