Re: 1
I started with a 2" kit, and switched to the 1" kit. I don't think the 2" moves the seat forward that much, but a bit. The 1" kit works pretty much like the stock system. I am also 6'1", but more longlegged and medium torso. A friend is the same height as me, but needed the 2" kit, so...
In addition to my Viper I have three Jags, one says THX RKWL and another THX ATT. Similar to the above, it was expressing thanks to Rockwell Intl & AT&T, who bought me those cars (and a bunch of other stuff). My Viper is much more simplistic - 05 SNAKE.
Thanks Jon, but alas I am not eyeballs deep in rollbars yet. Perhaps next week we'll see them.
I agree on the V-10 Diesel, but the typical VW sedan doesn't seem too exciting to me.

As an ex. Marine ('66 - '70) and Vietnam Vet ('68 '69), when I visited the wall it was just too intense for me. I went with a cavalier attitude and came away shaken to the core. When you first descend, it represents the years of the escalation, and then you turn the corner and slowly...
Both the bedliner and clearbra are excellent suggestions. Monday I will check the body shop to see if they can apply either of those solutions.
If the clearbra prevented scrapes but needed to be replaced periodically that wouldn't bother me, as long as it stopped the scrapes (which look like...
I have a more extreme version of the same problem. I wear leg braces and getting in & out of my Black SRT, I tend to scrape the sill, which cuts my pants and scrapes the paint off the sill. I have been thinking of some kind of solution like black rubber, stainless or something else to...
I am 6' 1" and drive an SRT-10. I purchased the 2" seat lowering kit and didn't feel right, kinda like a little kid trying to look out. So I just ordered the 1" kit, and am looking to sell the 2" kit. If anyone is interested in the 2" Northwind kit, I am interested in selling it. It was...
While not a Copperhead, there are some really good prices listed at Hendrick Motors, like NEW 2004's for $68,990.
Check out http://southeast-viper-headquarters.ebizautos.com/view-inventory.aspx
This is listed on the Viper Days web site.
I completely understand wallbanger, my 7 (oh sorry just turned 8 year old) son loves my Viper, whereas my wife won't even ride in it. I haven't driven it fast with her in it, she just doesn't like it.
But my son thinks it's the coolest thing he's even been in, so he's a keeper. Now he is...
Re: Who\'s the BADDEST builder !!!
GR8 ASP, I also appear as an 'enthsiast' although I actually own a Viper, how does one get this changed?

Before purchasing my 05 SRT, I contemplated the Z06, but decided on the Viper for several reasons.
1. If you compare List prices, the Z06 is cheaper, but when you compare what you will actually pay, the Viper is about the same price. Vipers (convertibles) are currently discounted, whereas Z06's...
Anyone who might be undecided about this, I just did it at Buttonwillow, and had a terrific time! Highly recommended.
It was an enlightening experience, and learning to drive a Viper on the track from professionals who race Vipers themselves is an experience not to be missed.

Mike Dolan
I am not sure if it would work or not, but to me it wouldn't seem to help. Cooling the intake charge increases it's density, and therefore increases the number of oxygen molecules in the cylinder. Liquid CO2 would cool the intake charge, but would also displace some of the oxygen with CO2...
What was involved in installing the RB1 & Sirius? I am contemplating the same for my '05 Vert. Did it just plug in, or did you need to do any modifications? Is there a special kit for either unit? My local dealer (not an expert apparently) indicated the RB1 and Sirius are not available...
