Yes, Dan is still the man for repairing PCM'S. I know of several successful cases in the past couple of years. Furthermore, he can supply a replacement if needed.
You might want to contact Tom Sessions in Hampstead, NC as he has a couple of new OEM masters (with hose). He also has had (and solved) what sounds like the same connector issue as you described.

I just measured a takeoff clutch master cylinder hydraulic line at 33.5 inches connector to connector...from a friend's 01 R/T 10. I hope that this helps.
That seems plausible to me, Dave. I believe that production of new models generally started around August.
Offering no hard facts, my GUESS would be that all 2000's "started life" with the cast piston engines...and, as I recall, the first 100 of which were heavy oil consumers. Then the...
Opinion: based on 30 years of very active participation in the Viper world, I would say that they are very solid cars in general...with each year having a few peculiar quirks of their own.
Whatever Gen II that you may ultimately choose, keep an extra $6,000 to $10,000 in your car account to...
A bit of history:
"In September of 2002 when the not-yet-released 2003 SRT-10's were offered for test drives at VOI.7 in Nashville, a Skip Barber instructor rode with each driver on the small autocross courses. As one entered the driver's seat, the instructor pointed out several things...one of...
Anything is possible...but, a battery jump box is generally much less likely to harm the PCM than the real Gen II PCM killer which a battery charger plugged into an A /C power outlet that has a "boost to start" button.
Has this car been in storage ?

Hi, Loren...it's been a while !
The number that I have for you will not work.
Give me a call if you like. I also sent an email.
Steve
P.S. The email bounced as well !!
Now, that said...if a person such as Dan Cragin were to do the PPI on that Viper and subsequently told me that it was a solid car, I would buy it sight unseen. I say that because I really mean it. That is the value of a Tech with a wealth or Viper experience who is well respected...as he was...
I would be concerned about this situation. While I have not researched this particular market of late, there are bound to be a number of 2003's out there with fewer owners...thereby reducing the overall risk of surprises. The price also seems high to me. Keep in mind that you need to have an...
Several years ago, a solid guy with many Vipers, Prowlers, etc. stated the through his long multi-vehicle collecting history he did indeed have a few mishaps...all of which were repaired via insurance. However, he noted that 30% did not show up on Carfax.
In my own experience, two different...
I have heard of people pulling the fuses because they feel that the air bags are a threat...particularly with the potential issue with Takata equipment.
I do not agree with that philosophy.
Another possibility might be that there was a problem somewhere in the Occupant Restraint System that...
Good writeup. Sir.
I have run across a 95 that was driven without issues for about 8 years without changing the coolant AND without the owner realizing the overflow/ recovery bottle in the front fascia was missing. Its absence was only noted when he called me for help one day due to a green...
