    2nd gen ACR Decals

The only ones I find are for later gens. There are some for Dodge Neon srt4 ACR's, but not the correct color. Which aftermarket ones did you find? I've seen some stickers, but not the actual decals.

What did you do to your viper today?

Dropped off a used GTS fuel door for chrome powder coating. The chrome MGW with Sneaky Pete ornament is what came with the car. The MGW fuel door is definitely a nice piece, but I always preferred the look of the factory unit. Can't wait to get it back and swap them out.

How do I get a feel for a Viper before I commit to buying?

So far you're going about it the right way. Stick with it, I'm sure someone in the forum can lend a hand. This car is an icon/exotic with a low price of entry which brings in a bunch of folks looking for budget cool factor. They realize pretty quick that Vipers are not refined like a Porsche...

    2nd gen ACR Decals

Figured I'd throw it to the community and see what I come up with. My 99 GTS ACR has the wrong color side vinyl decals. I'm in need of some blue ones. If someone has a set for a reasonable price let me know. I'm open to reproduction decals if someone has that ability. I'd do it local, but I'm...

    6 cylinder Viper

Dean, thanks for not being an enabler lol. They are obviously better on your car for a multitude of reasons.

    6 cylinder Viper

Yep, all part of the Roadkill event. Can't blame Dodge for tapping YouTube influencers for powertrain swap builds, but wish that YouTubers would stop using Vipers for the shock value and clicks. At least the other channels didn't ever push Viper content, it was just a shock and awe build. This...

Experience on door sag/hang up on GTS

Good update and resurrection. I'm overdue to tackle some door sag with my car. Not something I'm looking forward to, but I guess I can't complain too much about getting into parts of the car I haven't messed with yet. Passenger window started acting a little intermittent, so I guess I can have a...

    6 cylinder Viper

Been watching this car for years at this point. Like lane_viper pointed out, used to be good maintenance content with a few tasteful mods, but has turned into click-bait garbage. There was nothing wrong with the drivetrain that came out. His channel, his car, but I won't bother wasting my time...

    6 cylinder Viper

Ya, this build is not my jam. This guy really wants you to know this GTS is an ACR, but he has removed everything ACR from the car except the 5 point harness and VIN plate. ACR shocks were sold off for BC racing. BBS wheels were sold off for whatever he put on there. Motor and transmission were...

    New owner of 2002 ACR

Finding tires in your ACR/BBS wheel sizes shouldn't be hard. The 17" wheels are the ones that usually have more difficulty, but the ACR 18" wheels have a few good options.

    The Quest for 275 MPH

Thanks for the update! Luckily, you still have some good weather left this year. Fingers crossed that everything is smooth sailing from here on out.

    Cigar Lighter Outlet

I have a phone holder/usb plug that has a little screen on it. I always unplug it, becasue I don't want it to stay lit up and drain the battery. Not sure how long I'd have to leave it plugged in to matter, but it's easy to unplug it and not take the chance. Other adapters could be safe to leave...

    Cigar Lighter Outlet

Not sure about the wires, mine had gone out due to a fuse. I use mine all the time to plug my phone in, no different than any other car.

To ABS, or to not ABS.... That is the Question.

Don't be fooled, they are all Godzilla ;)

Cold Start & Idle Video – Viper Gen 3 – Does This Sound Healthy?

To my ear, the only problem is it needs some aftermarket exhaust =)

To ABS, or to not ABS.... That is the Question.

If you stumble on a final addition car, know that the serial number doesn't correspond to the actual production number of the car. Of the many things dealerships get wrong with Vipers, final edition cars were slapped with "a badge", not the car number as it came off the production line. Final...

To ABS, or to not ABS.... That is the Question.

I agree with everyone's points to what appears to be your wheelhouse. Beyond knowledge for differences in year groups, I get the impression that ABS or no, either car will give you everything you're looking for. Find a car you like and get out there feeling good behind the wheel of an icon.

To ABS, or to not ABS.... That is the Question.

The difference in the cams is a slightly more aggressive profile with the 708 cam, in layman's terms, sounds lumpy like an aftermarket cam. They went away from that cam in 2000 to cut back on car and shifter vibration. I like the sound from the 708 cam with aftermarket exhaust. The forged...

    New owner

03 too old lmfao. Translated...it's an uncommon sports car that we don't want to be on the hook for. It's happened to many in this forum, myself included. I'm sure you can find a reputable shop that can do good work on your car, might have to widen the search area or get a little creative, i.e...

Pre Purchase Inspection for Rebuild Title

No regrets on buying the rebuilt car. It is my dream car which is a 2nd gen ACR, so my overall price to value was pretty high on the car. To me it's all about understanding that it is a different type of depreciation. As long as you aren't upside down in the price paid and worth of the car...

Pre Purchase Inspection for Rebuild Title

Just some food for thought from a rebuilt title owner. Those years of clean reasonable or low mileage cars are trading hands within 10k of that asking price. A 20 year old car may need freshening up i.e. rubber parts like suspension bushings, hoses, tires, etc. If you have a genuine love of...

    Source for "factory" brakes

If you jump on ebay, there are some budget friendly options. R1 concepts usually has a lot of rotor options that won't break the bank. Personal opinion, stick with solid or slotted rotors, pass on the drilled unless you want to deal with the potential of cracking rotors. Putting holes in rotors...

    Another Viper crash

That is really tragic to say the least. My driving habits have evolved as I have gotten older...I save my spirited driving for the track. Stay safe folks and enjoy the summer driving without becoming a statistic.

    Painted Stripes? Aftermarket or Stock?

Yep, those are factory stripes. 1996 was a transition year for the rt10 from a gen 1 to a gen 2 car, usually referred to as a gen 1.5 car. Those stripes are one of the visual cues for a 1996 rt10.
