    scams

I get that you are annoyed by the situation, I would be as well. Please don't post any new threads about this. Only pointing out that this is the third posting in the last 2-3 days. If you want to bump your other posts with updates, I'm sure everyone, myself included, hope you get a good...

    I got scamed

Where did you purchase the items from? Hopefully it's a sight with protection, or purchased in a way that allows you to dispute the charge.

96 GTS is this a Corsa Exhaust circa 1999?

A correctly executed X Pipe is used to aid exhaust pulse, usually in the form of scavenging. I could nerd out about it, but there are numerous posts on numerous forums that go into great detail about it. The condensed version is a crappy X Pipe is typically better than none, and a well...

96 GTS is this a Corsa Exhaust circa 1999?

Yo got me, I see people do ridiculous things to cars all the time. From a packaging standpoint, I can see why they did it. I think it was a lazy way to fit the mufflers, I personally wouldn't have done it that way. The car came with a whole host of modifications that I deemed poor choice. I've...

96 GTS is this a Corsa Exhaust circa 1999?

Yep, my x pipe was cut out and flow master outlaws installed at some point.

96 GTS is this a Corsa Exhaust circa 1999?

Definitely B&B tips, and the rest of the system is very similar, but not exactly the same as their newest stuff. Not surprised given this was probably installed over 20 years ago. I'm also not surprised somebody modified the exhaust and added mufflers. She a screamer with these flow master...

96 GTS is this a Corsa Exhaust circa 1999?

Definitely could be the case. somebody added some flow master outlaws to mine at some point. Sounds good, perfectly functional, but the welds set off my ocd lol. The whole system has beautiful welds...then you get to the ugly stuff some rando shop did.

96 GTS is this a Corsa Exhaust circa 1999?

Looked like 3" when I was up under the car, didn't measure it. Stainless cat delete with resonators. The resonators are towards the front of the sill cover, and there is no X or H pipe.

96 GTS is this a Corsa Exhaust circa 1999?

My 99 has Billy Boat. Not sure when it was installed, but it doesn't look like their newest stuff. I'm guessing it's in the ball park of those earlier years.

    The Quest for 275 MPH

Makes perfect sense man, everything needs to be right and tight to push the limits. When I went 275, I had to...na, I'm just kidding lol. No need to rush to failure or injury. You know this community looks forward to seeing this achievement, even if it takes a little longer to reach. Definitely...

Is the suspension supposed to be this 'uneasy'?

I'll have to look into those. I rebuilt my Koni 2812's, but it sounds like the Redshift Motorsports option would come in at a similar cost. That would be a major budget win considering other options jump two or three times that price very fast for our cars.

Need tire help! And how bad are old tires….

Stored properly those older tires will be fine to drive on, but not much more. The rubber hardens over time and the tire will lose a lot of it's designed performance. These cars have a hard time putting power down with good tires, old tires will not hold traction under acceleration or cornering...

    MD New Viper Owner

Congrats man, that will be a whole lotta car. I'm a big fan of the C6 Z06 as well. If the Viper didn't have my heart, I'd probably have one of those. Who knows, maybe someday one will find it's way into the collection. I've been with Hagerty under their agreed value plan. So far insuring the car...

Need tire help! And how bad are old tires….

Sounds like the plan is to deal with the tires after the trip. Like others have pointed out, drive her like a normal car and enjoy the trip. If overall condition doesn't throw any red flags and tire pressure is good, then turn your focus to other parts of your trip. Never hurts to take a can of...

Need tire help! And how bad are old tires….

Like 4-5 hrs of driving? If the tires aren't dry rotted, and are in generally good condition they should be fine. ***Understand that you're driving on bricks, many many Vipers wrecked when the owner F-ed around and found out on old tires. ALL of their capabilities will be greatly diminished...

Honest feedback on this wing choice

Good observation, I had something in my head I couldn't place. It looks like a time attack car wing.

Want to buy 1999 to 2002 Viper

Bring A Trailer shows a good recent history of what the market is doing right now. Plenty of low mile clean cars have been passing through there. Probably not a bad time to buy since the market has softened a bit.

Honest feedback on this wing choice

Doesn't do much for me either. The shape looks out of place, mismatched to the rest of the car. Big wings on Vipers have always been a complete functional aero package or nothing for me, so my opinion has some built in bias.

    Texas Emissions test

I'm in WA state, if they did away with it here...what does that tell ya. Cars have met and far exceeded emissions requirements for a very long time.

    Texas Emissions test

Luckily I live in a state that did away with emissions testing, because not enough vehicles fail to justify the cost of the program. That being said, there are a few tricks I used to do to ensure a best result for my vehicles. #1 Oil change, #2 Plugs/wires, #3 Fresh/clean airfilter, #4 Proper...
