3D print an interior door sill plug

These should work for 1992 - 2000 This was supposed to be a quick and easy design, but it took some effort to get the button/dome top to not look crummy and to align the layer lines so the legs wouldn't snap off.... Photos and instructions are on the printables.com link below, but In short...

What did you do to your Viper today?

Viper driving season was over in November in Vancouver, BC. I'm doing less interesting work, but since you asked... :p On my 93 antenna car, the giant antenna gets in the way of the car cover. I managed to find a Metra 44-STUB antenna that comes with the elusive female 1/4-20 to male 6mm...

3D print an Air Filter Intake Box Retainer

I couldn't find a replacement part. I had been using a rubber washer with a squared hole to hold the intake baffle in place. I made a replacement you can print in a flexible filament. More photos are on the printables.com link...

New Gen 1 Stanchions are now available

@ninetyfive for what it's worth, I had the same problem. Here's how I repaired it: Mix 50% baking soda and 50% graphite powder. Graphite powder can be made by splitting open a standard wooden pencil and grinding the graphite stick against sand paper into powder. Mask the front (or visible...

How to replace an IAC motor on a Gen 1

You can see my thread here on what I'm trying to solve: https://www.viperclub.org/vca/threads/sometimes-stalls-when-coming-to-a-stop.678665/#post-3307119 However in my case, I was wrong to change this part. My existing part was fine. Generally speaking, symptoms of a bad IAC motor would be an...

Sometimes stalls when coming to a stop.

Thanks all for your replies. I've had a busy week so I've been slow to work on this problem. I haven't touched the throttle position stop screws. I looked at both throttle bodies and both have the plates stop just behind the first small hole in the bottom of the throttle body. I added Lucas...

Sometimes stalls when coming to a stop.

Thanks. It's a good point that the gauge may not be accurate. I ran across another thread where someone said the RPM reading from the gauge was lower than whattheir scanner was reporting. I haven't looked at the MAP sensor yet. I understand there's 3 wires. 5v supply, ground and the middle wire...

How to replace an IAC motor on a Gen 1

The Idle Air Control (IAC) motor is on the back of the intake on the passenger side. You may be wondering if you can actually get it off without removing the intake. Yes you can. Here's how. Tools: 7/16 regular wrench. 7/16 stubby wrench. It's in a tight spot and a regular wrench will hit a...

Sometimes stalls when coming to a stop.

I have a 1993. As the title says, when coming to a stop my rpms will drop to near zero. It's even stalled a couple of times. At operating temperature the idle seems low. It shows closer to 575 that 704+-25. Yes I am reading the gauge correctly. Yes I realize the first mark just after 0 is...

1993 stereo head unit removal and install

I attempted to do this, but I now believe I have to remove the dash. 1) Unclipped the bezel surrounding the radio. I thought just the black part would unclip, but the area around the ashtray and shifter came up as well. The clips are stubborn. I used a plastic pry tool to get a top corner then...

WTB Gen 1 fog light switch for a 93 RT10

I recently got a 93. I found the fog light switch was stuck. I remove the bezel around it. It looks like someone tried to pry the switch up from the topside. They cracked the trim around the switch and put super-glue to hold it down. Well the superglue flowed into the switch itself!

1993 stereo head unit removal and install

Thanks. It's a little different for Gen 1. I started searching around for dash removal instructions. Step 2 on the following post suggests it's just simply prying of the radio bezel and a couple of plugs. https://www.viperclub.org/vca/threads/gen-1-dash-removal-instructions.629538/ Perhaps the...

1993 stereo head unit removal and install

Hi. I've searched the forum but couldn't find any solutions. I have a 1993 antenna car. It still has the original cassette head unit. It mostly works, except when I put a cassette in, it sounds like it's just rewinding, then fast forwarding, then rewinding, etc... and never stops. I suspect the...
