Just thought that this info may be of assistance to someone at sometime as it gave me a lot of grief until solved. After driving for approx. 10m or more the clutch pedal would go spongey and I could not shift, then it would recover. Anyway after having clutch, master and slave cylinders...
So here is what is going on. I had the clutch and slave cylinder replaced a few months ago. Very occasionally the cluch pedal will temporarily go loose (no resistance) and then return to normal. Additionally sometimes during shifting I get a burning smell, presumablly the clutch. What is going...

Battery indicator in message center came on and A/C will not work. Turn off A/C and indicator goes out. Battery is Ok and new. Alternator output appears OK. Voltmeter indicates OK. I am stumped
