Feedback on the DC Performance computer reflash

I installed a reflashed ECU from Cragin last weekend. Big difference in the way the car performs. Well worth the 600 bucks. Also installed the 170 thermostat, good move as well.

    3:55's on SRT...first imperssion

Re: 3:55\'s on SRT...first imperssion Bottom line is how ever you get it done, it is well worth the effrt and expense. Makes a great car that much better. Did notice a little difference in gas milage (might be because I was enjoying the acceleration) but who gives a damn. If mileage is a...

    3:55's on SRT...first imperssion

Re: 3:55\'s on SRT...first imperssion I agree with getting the right parts. Unitrax is an excellant kit, call Jon B. Just be aware the rear end in the Viper has been around a long time and there are a lot of good gear mechanics that set these Dana 44s up everyday. I suspect the local Viper...

    3:55's on SRT...first imperssion

Re: 3:55\'s on SRT...first imperssion Yeah, I went to a Viper tech at the local Dodge dealer and they wanted $2200 for the change. Not a complicated prosess, would have done it myself if I had time. Any good gear guy should be able to do the work. The Dana 44 is a very common gear assembly. Us...

    3:55's on SRT...first imperssion

Re: 3:55\'s on SRT...first imperssion Good estimate. I paid Jon B $650 for the gears/parts and had a local shop do the install for $450. Someone with Dana 44 experience should be able to do the set up, might be a off road/4wd shop. Works great, love the change.

    Tonneau cover

If you are looking for a cockpit/bikini cover the one designed for the previous models works. I bought one from JonB at the parts rack and it fits just fine even though it was designed for the RS10.

Response to AndyP: sounded like a truck befor the muffler change and the heat has been substantially reduced.

    SRT Mufflers

Not sure if anyone is still looking for a decent muffler, but you may want to try the Magnaflow 14501. After trying a couple of different ones I settled on these. They are stainless, 4" round and 31" overall. I had a differt brand of 27" previously and they had an anoying resonance in the mid...

    internal heat

Yes, call RSI. Their kit is easy to install and it has a cat eliminator connector that keeps the engine light off. Made a big difference in heat reducrion.

Side sill "sand blasting" on SRT10's ?????

Re: Side sill Anybody consider urethane paint? I use it on my race cars in areas suceptable to damage, works great. My SRT-10 sills are not too bad, only have a couple thousand easy miles. Will repaint the lower areas with urethane when needed, maybe this winter.

    Lowered Seat

Installed the final pieces to lower the driver seat in my SRT last night. Seat height and angle are perfect for me (6'2", 215 lbs). Do not miss (need) the adjustment mechanism of the stock seats. Been driving the SRT minus the front brackets while Mike/Northwind made some tweaks and really like...

Re: CAUTION - Potential Problem on SRT-10\'s Thanks for the post. Checked my SRT tonight and found it was close but not touching. Put a tie rap around it until I can provide a more prem fix.

Easy change! and it sounds GREAT!

Is there a specific model numder for "cherry bomb"? I have removed the cats with and RSI kit which has made a big difference in the heat issue. Not sure I am happy with the sound though. May want to try your fix. Thanks.

Need support!! Fix for heated side sill and most of the heat in the car.

Re: Need support!! Fix for heated side sill and most of the heat in the car. Received the cat kit from RSI and installed it last week end. After looking at the stock dual cat configuration it is no wonder why the foot wells are so hot. The RSI made a big difference in the sill tempature and the...

    Flickering lights

I do not believe it is the stalk itself, just the light switch on the end. I was able to "fix" the problem by making sure the switch was centered in the on position. As you will notice, the detents for the light switch are not as prominant as they could be. I do not seem to have the problem as...
