If you are not making 850rwhp via turbo or 750rwhp supercharged you should be fine.
Making 1000rwhp on the stock rods sounds pretty scary to me. They look about as fragile as the main caps..
Pro-Gram Billit main caps is all that you need. The flimsy cast POS stock main caps are worthless above ~800rwhp or so. I was experiencing serious main cap walk @ 1000+rwhp.
I have also put in ARP main bolts, but have heard that the quickest 1/4 mile viper has stock main cap bolts installed...
Re: Let\'s have a little contest!
Looking good!!! Wait until you drive that thing. You will be impressed.
That kit made 730/730 on my car with a 91 octane tune and timing taken out. You should be 30-40 up on that number with the better fuel and more agressive tune. You should also make...
Re: Who\'s the Baddest?
I have the fastest 1996 Viper running pump gas with BFG drag radials with a pair of thumb handcuff bedroom toys hanging off the rearview mirror... Top that!
The car drives very well and the power is very managable.
The big single will have a cooler intake charge than twins, but will spool just a little later.
Just the reply I had expected. Just like a politician. COnsistant dodging the issue. If you are a such a stand up vendor explain to people on the site here how you actually constructed your system. Be a man and own up to your wonderful design.
Paolo does your kit even have a collector?
Are your primaries longer than 3.5" on the centerline of the pipe?
What is the CFM capacity of your intercooler at .5psid and 2psi drop on your twin 76 Kit?
What is the CFM capacity of your air filters on the twin 76mm kit?
And what is up with...
Peter, FYI my car does have equal length headers (all except two)that are either 25" or 27" long with 5 into 1 merge collectors. It took a long time to make them, but it happened. Burns Stainless, a company that actually knows something about header and turbo design, reccomended these specs...
I dyno'd my car at Pauls automotive engineering. I would not take my car and dyno it anywhere else. THey are pro's and take their work seriously. Not to mention they have had several cars in hot rod magazine, and MMFF.
Here is my dyno sheet from their facility...
I do not know of any that I would take my viper to in the NKY area, however there are a couple places across the river that do good work and I would trust with my car. I will get their names and number when I get back in town. I am located in Florence BTW. Send me an email and I will gget you...
FYI, the harbor freight, and 149$ Jegs jacks are POS. I have gone through 3 of them in the last 2 years. Pumps pukes all of its fluid out, various peices break, etc. Not worth the trouble. If you buy cheap you will buy twice. (or more)
