Cut the secondary cat rite at the factory weld.
Placed the Stainless muffler, from Skip, at that point.
Felt that (1. mig welding stainless muffler there would keep what ever heat gererated close to the main cat for it to work properly and (2. keep heat forward under the sill away from...
(2) 4" round Approximately 18" long stainless mufflers #Bul 416 purchased from White Performance Automotive were used.
The 2/1/2" Stainless pipe & band clamps were purchased locally.
Also it reduced the previous sill heat, due to the shorter mufflers. :smirk:
After many hours of reading posted threads and some deliberation, decided to improve the "mambe" exhaust note of my SRT-10.
By removing the, so called "secondary cats", and stock mufflers I was able to increase the db level, at idle, by 23db which also improved the exhaust note to a great mellow...
Thanks "ROCKET62" for the input will have the dealership check the rev. gate solinoid.
MAVERICK..Know exactly what you mean by a full breathing..& I'll try to be patient and wait for local Viper Days.
Am A newbe to the Viper, but an old muscle car era racer...
Was it possible with the reverse gate lock to have gone from 4th to Rev.instead of 5th. If so, is there a cure ?
Also, what cat back exhaust would you experienced owners suggest.
