800 hp supercharged v10 and a convertible would make many purist open up their wallets as long as dodge doesn't go nuts with pricing.
Add ten and call it a day to resurrect the viper as a dodge and not just an SRT.

Check it out for Mr Gilles insights on the viper shutdown
I'm a vette guy but also admire and want the viper to succeed!
I'm a fan of Mr. Gilles as well.
The new viper is a great car. The problem IMHO had been the dealer markup on the arrival of the first model and roping off the car not allowing current viper owners to sit in the car.

Ralph Gilles is a guest on autoline after hours
The viper is a stunning car whose sales are soft so the plant is closing for a few months.
Some say it's the new corvette and some suggest it's the tenth of a second track time difference.
I suggest it's the...
Controversy sells magazines..chalk this up to that.
Nothing more and nothing less.
I'm a vette guy and still it's quite clear what motor trend did here
I didn't read every post but saw this identical thread on the corvette forum and here.
I just wanted to stop by and let you viper guys know even after three new corvettes I still admire the stunning viper.
It's a great car. Ralph Gilles rocks! And his passion is to be admired for what he has...
AAH #85 – Lutz Do a Show – John's Journal on Autoline Detroit
Bob States one of his three finest achievements of his illustrious career is the VIPER
What a great show! Bob Lutz is so focused. So on target with specifically what this industry and specifically GM needs to accomplish to be...
I hope Delorenzo (SP) from auto extremist .com is wrong...but on this weeks autolinedetroit after hours he said he thought the next generation viper will be built off the maserati chassis..
Now thats messed up if its true...
Either way...for you viper owners I suggest you enjoy your rides...
The existing generation is amazing. Somehow the 2012 will be even better. Should be exciting to see and hear what leaks out over the next couple of years.
IMO...The Viper brand will continue. There are already several buyers lining up.
Chrysler might take a bow but the viper will continue...
As will Jeep.
Neil wants blue so anyone interested in an insanely immacutlate Red Viper go for it. If I didn't buy a brand new vette in the past year I'd be grabbing this deal. The price he's looking for in this car is ridiculous considering how MINT the car is.
I'm digging my 08 C6 Z51 wNPP exhaust...
sorry guys...I'm not over at his home to describe or give any info..
He's not bothering with it but rather just throwing it on a trailer and having a dealer look at it.
I thought he would chime in and give a better description that the fine members of this forum would throw him some Ideas...
A buddy of mine with a mint condition viper thats always pampered called and said he has steam coming out of the engine bay.. The car has maybe 3000 miles if that.
I was wondering if any of you guys had anything similiar happen with your viper and what the fix was?
Did it require just a new...
That hood is awesome.
THrowing on a set of H rims and the hood really updates earlier srt/10s to 2008.
Not that you need to do it....but it sure is a cool way to update.
Testing production prototype mules tends to lead many to believe the cars a ringer...
I don't get the whole "respect" this car gig....and the one thing I find disturbing where Nissan fanatics go nuts all over the internet trying to get people to respect Nissans..
Cant force respect...yet if...
Just a suggestion that you may already know..
but here goes..
Just take off like you were trying to go as quickly as possible without spinning the tires..
Dramatic spin of the tires...is exciting but usually the slow way to go....
A good buddy of mine suggested I try and take off as if...
