I agree with gavin and cody. ABS is, hands down, far better to have.
It is much safer for street duty, although I have never activated it on the street.
It is much faster at the track, ie faster lap times and therefore way more fun!
The folks that like non-ABS cars, possibly never experienced...
Re: How many pints of brake fluid should be used when bleeding brake fluid?
So after one track day is the fluid in the MC resevoir considered Dirty and old and needs to be taken out?
If one could alternate between blue and amber fluid that would be perfect!
Is it possible?
Re: How many pints of brake fluid should be used when bleeding brake fluid?
Yeah, back to the original question. How do I know when I can stop pumping fresh fluid through?
No one seems to have a concrete answer. Is it just guess work?
I just bled my brakes before track event last weekend. I just kinda guestimated how many times to pump the brakes before the fluid ran alittle more clear. I know you are supposed to keep pumping the brakes until fluid color changes to more clear color (new fluid color) but the problem is that...
How do most of you do this? I can's see a damn thing when I shine a flashlight into the donut hole behind fog light of Left front wheel. I cannot see the lines for "engine hot" and "cool" level. So how do I know when I have added enogh coolant?
I have heard of the turkey baster method of...
I know about the VOI9 website and I read everthing in it, but I still don't understand why this costs so much?
Can anyone give me any more detailed info on what happens at VOI?
I have never been.
Why does the event costs sooo much? $1700 for wife and I? Wife doesn't even like cars!

I bought my GTS Final Ed. brand new, but I noticed that the paint job is not perfect underneath the hoood. The area under the hood, where the red color stops is not a clean line. There are areas where the red just tapers off or is alittle jagged or there is slight overspray into the black area...
Just wondering if every single viper that has had factory stock stripes, are they all perfect paint jobs. Are the lines completelty clean? No defects at all in the Paint??
thebigsnake: I do not want a patch job at all. I am just curious. I want to know if I get a new hood, it is as good as the original? Will some one say that this car is worth less because it does not have the original hood? Are replacent hoods all from Dodge?
Hey snake bite: Where did you get...
Hey PSilverGTS
So you think I should get a used hood that does not need to be repainted?
What's wrong with an new hood, and have the shop only paint the hood?
Thanks
Car was hit in this area, The crack is seen on the surface and on the under surface of the hood too. It is at the arch area of the hood.
Some body shops say they can fix it and others say it needs a new hood to be done correct.
Who is right?
Insurance is paying.
Whats the best way to fix it...
