2010 ACR in Snakeskin clears out Hooters!

No foreplay or anything just right to the point! :D

    2008 Viper ACR For Sale

Based on reliability (and performance) I would at least consider an Elan over a Radical. Go visit Brent at Performance Tech in west Hollywood. They must have a dozen cars at Sebring this weekend for Winterfest including the Elans that qualified 1st and 2nd in a 90 car field in yesterdays enduro.

Video of ACR X Running at Palm Beach International Raceway

I had a buddy of mine at Sebring yesterday who said that Kuno put a set of Michelin slicks on a stock ACR and was somewhere around a 2.15 which would make the ACR-X about 6 seconds a lap faster on a 3.7 mile track. Same driver/same tires. I wish I had a little more information on how much time...

Holy crap! ACR-X (deserves a new thread)

WOW!! I heard that in the hour and a half enduro today the ACR-X qualified 4th behind only 2 Elans and the Riley Track Day car (which is pretty damn fast). It was also faster than all the Comp Coupes present as well as all the Porsche Cup cars! Very impressive to say the least...

ACR-X pics of test & tune in WPB

Did you get any lap times? If so, what kind of tires wre they running?

    Used 09' ACR value?

Don't know about Virginia but Florida doesn't charge sales tax on trade in value. I figured all states treated trades the same as Florida but I guess not. What a scam! On the other hand, you do have VIR in your back yard! :D

    Viper crash on Petit Lemans

This is the same shop that works on my car. They are a great group of guys who do some very professional work. Joel Feinberg (the driver of the Viper) is a pretty good driver who just won the IMSA Lites championship. They are doing the best they can in this series but the rules really don't...

    Conversion of ACR to Hardcore

You are probably right as there seems to be a lot more optioned ACR's ordered over Hardcore cars. I would have lost that bet.

    Conversion of ACR to Hardcore

Good catch. Easy enough to remove the hood padding but where is the fuel pump access panel?

    Conversion of ACR to Hardcore

I'm in Colorado now and probably won't make it back for any of the August Sebring events. I've missed all the Safe Motorsports events this year. How is the club doing?

That's a great looking ACR!! Congrats!!

    Conversion of ACR to Hardcore

Does anyone know exactly what carbon fiber covers you would need to convert an ACR to a Hardcore? What am I missing? Yank out the stereo/nav., door speakers, sub woofer, hatch carpeting, metal battery cover. Anything else? Is there a "carbon fiber cover" kit one can purchase? Yeah I know...

2009 ACR Hardcore For Sale "New"

You said exactly what I was thinking. What percentage of the people complaining about the Viper's demise are actually going to plunk down $90K+ for a new one? I hope enough to soak up all the production.

Will The ACR Option Be Continued For 2010?

Does anyone have any insight as to whether or not the ACR option will be continued for the 2010 model year now that we know there will be such a thing? For prior generation ACR models did Dodge continue to offer this option for the remainder of that generation run?

    VIR SRT Track Experience

Glad to hear you had a blast. What was the format and how much time did you actually get on the track hot lapping?

Video of an ACR at VIR

It was nice in the mornings but got brutal in the afternoons. We were running in the 2:04 to 2:07 range with some traffic. You could never know when you were going to get a clean lap so none of these laps were run as "qualifying" type laps.

Chin is great. They also have a pass anywhere policy in the advanced group which prevents a train of cars from developing. It seems to take forever waiting for a straight to pass on. Passing in the turns also gets you used to driving offline. The Z is black/black.

Video of an ACR at VIR

This was a Chin Motorsports event. Just go to chinmotorports.com and sign up for an event. They organize drivers by experience and put them in different run groups, initially with an instructor. However, I should warn you that once you try it you may never visit another drag strip again. :D...

Video of an ACR at VIR

Actually Chuck the camera shows the cars being much further apart than they really are. Also, I've run enough with you to be able to trust and anticipate what you're going to do. But yeah, I do love watching you spin out! :D The walls are there if you look for them. I try not to. :omg...

Video of an ACR at VIR

On a side note, at the 2:30 mark on the Part 2 video, that is Jack Baldwin (ex Trans-Am Champion) in a nicely prepared Porsche GT3. The man can drive and is a helluva nice guy. We've had a blast driving with him before at Sebring.

Video of an ACR at VIR

Really the point of posting the video is not to compare the two cars (I know it's hard not to) but to just show how the ACR gets around the track (which is pretty damn good!). Neither of us were beating up the cars too badly and both were driven at about the same pace. I would not have been...
