    Slow cooling fan

'Borrowed' a pump from NAPA, cleaned and installed the relief valve, took the car around the block and the power steering and fan worked fine. It both ***** and is kind of relieving it was something so dumb

    Slow cooling fan

Just a quick update on this there was no relief valve in the power steering pump. While I vaguely recall that the valve and adapter was shipped with the pump, I was moving at the time and must have set it somewhere and a week later bolted the pump up to get the car ready to go on the trailer...

    Slow cooling fan

Yeah, the wording in the first message wasn't great, it looks like those part numbers relate to the fittings on the end of the hoses rather than assisting with the flow control. In my case the o-ring is on the hose end but not in the greatest shape, although it could be worse. I agree with...

    Slow cooling fan

So finally got back and started working on this and if there's one thing about these cars that's consistent it's that nothing is straightforward... As I was warned the power steering pressure tester kit doesn't have the right size fitting and can't find it. I looked at the power steering pump...

    Slow cooling fan

I see, thanks for the heads up, any chance you recall what size adapter you needed? I'll make sure I've got it, but if not no problem, Google might have the answer

    Slow cooling fan

Thanks for the help guys, I got a power steering tester, without the flow meter though, and the pictures help to confirm that's the location to put it but unfortunately I didn't have the time to hook it up and I'm jumping on a flight at 5 am. Really appreciate the help I'll update this in a...

    Slow cooling fan

Bought from Brian Jones so pretty sure they're the correct parts and I think the lines can only be assembled one way - the fittings are different sizes, ya know? Seems like the flow path is from the top of the power steering pump, to the fan, fan drain back to reservoir, fan to rack, rack to PS...

    Slow cooling fan

It does not, I also pulled the ECT and the fan doesn't spin. With the engine running I was able to spin the fan by hand pretty easily which is...unexpected. I rented a power steering pressure tester last night and I might have a few minutes to hook that up tonight but my guess is you're...

    Slow cooling fan

Gonna highjack this thread since I'm currently having some issues with power steering right now and need to rule a few things out. First - I bought the car as a project and had to buy all the power steering parts for it (pump, lines, radiator fan, rack...) so everything here can be assumed...

The great blend door teardown (with pics)

hey, if you're still around any chance you remember how you removed the crummy dust from the HVAC and what foam you ended up replacing it with? I bought some silicon weatherstripping foam but could never get it to stick because it was impossible to remove all the old, flaky foam

Frame Swap - Removing the Fender Support

What's up guys, working on a frame swap this weekend. Curious if anyone has removed the fender support from the frame (preferably in one piece) and, if so, how were you able to do it?

Passenger Airbag blew - Dash Fix?

I'll be doing most of the repair - the engine bay is empty - engine's (blown) removed but still together, and everything else from the engine bay is in a box. Checking it out in about 4 hours but rumor is it's a clean title however if there's any evidence of frame damage or repair I'll pass...

Passenger Airbag blew - Dash Fix?

Hey guys, prospective new viper owner. Car I'm looking at tomorrow needs some love and one of the issues is that the airbags blew. Seems like the airbag in steering wheel won't be hard but I'm curious what's involved in the passenger airbag? Does that require a whole new top part of the dash...
