There are several mopar dealer run parts "warehouses" online
The trucks have a metal vin tag behind the pass headlight. Has paint code and other info also.
Pic attached.
Do you see the edge of anything like that anywhere on the frame?
Why would they lock out the inputs? Every car in the world adapts its F/A as you drive, thats why fuel injection runs better than a carb set to one point. Even with a carb people have driven up pikes peak with no drivability issues
Then your clearancing the bottoms of the bores so the rod can get up into the cylinder.
This is door stop contact with the oil galley, i dont know how thick it is right there.
Then i still have the 04 crank bearing tolerance changes.
Dan, how much clearance to the block do you think a rod needs at 6k rpm?
Thinking of crank/rod flex with heat/rpm.

I'm guessing I'm screwed and need to
1. find an 03 crank/piston/rods for...
Well it seems like i bit the big one buying these parts. Looking up part numbers doesn't tell you anything.
03 block - 100% sure
04 crank - 99% sure
05 pistons/rods - 100% sure
04/05 crank bearings- 100% sure
04/05 rod bearings-100g sure
Rumor has it that the 03 crank journals placed the crank...
So, i bought a supposed 04 block/crank (same bore/stroke, crank trigger not an issue) with the thought of putting in a set of 05 pistons/rods i had (verified to be 05 pistons/ rod). Same part numbers 04-05 so should be no problems.
After installing a piston/rod, the crank end of the rod...
I know this is an old thread but i was searching for 03 piston/rod to 05 piston/ rod comparisons and came across it.
This truck motor story is so wrong.
The aluminum viper v10 was first displayed in 92 while the truck iron v10 was in 94.
The UPS truck story is plausible enough but the fact is...
Also that door jamb decal, with the MDH, nobody can reliably say its placed at the beginning of the production line or at the end.
With this particular car maybe they were missing a part or had a problem with part and had to wait a week or two before it was finished which would result in the...
The viper registry has the most accurate data on vins
Yes, correct.
With the other date being 8/13 it is weird, all of the ones I've seen are the same month between the 2 dates.
Its definitely a late build, usually production stops july, plant switch overs happen in August, new model year...
There should be a decal on the drivers door similar to this.
In the lower left corner is a MDH, thats the month day hour (24hr clock) when the car was built.
That is the ONLY way to know exactly when the car was built.
If that decal is gone, it is gone forever. You can only get one made with...
