'08 Color Chart

Good morning all,

I have what I believe to be a rare (or somewhat rare) color combo on my '08 vert. I noticed another thread that showed color break-downs for '08's, but no strip information. Is this information only available thru the magazine, or will it be posted here at some point? When does that edition come out? I plan on joining VCA, but was wondering if I'll miss this edition? If it can't be posted on this site, and if I miss the print, can it be back ordered? Oh, I have a GTS Blue w/ White Stripes. Thanks.

I am sure they will eventually get out an exact breakdown on the 2008s , but at present many of the employees at Chrysler are on vacation over the Holidays. Keep in mind many white collar workers took a buyout , so those in SRT , like every other area are working with a much smaller staff. They ( SRT ) have been very prompt getting out preliminary information this year, so if they are a bit delayed on the more specific items we probably should be understanding and give them a bit of slack.

I know we had three cars like yours and I know of a couple of other Dealers who ordered a couple. I would imagine there are not alot of verts like yours, but it would not surprise me if there are not 20-30 like it. That is a small number , but many folks will have small number runs and unique Vipers as there were only a bit over 1600 built in 2008.

They are all somewhat rare but I bet due to the poularity of that color combo of blue/white that it will be a significant portion of the production. Saw a bunch of them at CAAP and Prefix. I tended to pick up on them as I sold an 06 blue that I was thinking about striping white.
What will help make it more rare is that only 45 roadsters were made in blue in 08, and that's an international number. In 06 88 blue roadsters were made and only 73 were for the us.
So using that percentage we could guess at 37 Blue 08 for the U.S.
My guess is maybe 6 with black stripes 4 with silver, and the rest split between white stripes and no stripes. 13-14 each Which is a long winded way of agreeing with Willie da P as he used the international number. I was giving you the "how often am I maybe gonna see myself number"
No way to really know though until they release the numbers. Fun to guess at this stuff.

Again, I plan on joining the club and getting the magazine, but curious if I need to order that specific edition to obtain the information or just look here within the next few months? It's my understanding that the latest edition that contains the information may have already been printed and my upcoming membership may not make it in time to include the edition that contains this chart.
