So that's still officially the K&N filter for the 2003-2008 Mazda RX-8. Has K&N officially said the 33-2284 filter is for use with the 08 Viper? (I know K&N was looking for a 2008 Viper a few months ago for testing at their Riverside facility but haven't heard anything since.) You didn't happen to get any before and after dyno results did you? Thanks!

#33-2284

fits perfect, no check engine light, fyi

Did it also include a piece of paper stating that even though it may fit another vehicle, it is only intended to be used for the it was designed for? Last few I bought, for different vehicles no less, had such a paper.

Problem is, the RX8 flows no where near as much airflow as the Viper. It may "fit", but it also flows much less CFM. A call to K&N will confirm this.

it is not designed for the viper but does fit perfectly....as for air flow well i guess only a dyno would show for sure...certainly didn't result in any power loss...it is a lot thinner than the stock filter
