I took my almost stock '93 with 8000 miles to it's first dyno test today before I do anymore upgrades on it. The only changes included on this run are: MSD 8.5mm wires and Cone filters/smooth tubes.

We did 2 pulls:
#1: 382.9hp - 474.4ftlbs
#2: 383.8hp - 471.7ftlbs
A/F was pretty constant 13.9 up to 4600rpm, than fell to 13.5.

I was pretty happy with that so far. Now dump the stock exhasut and tune with VEC1 and see what happens.

Nice numbers, great TQ!

This will serve as a good baseline before the modifications.
I wish I would have done the same with mine to see each modification value....

Hey Andy,

You're right. Dump the stock exhaust and your hp number should come up quite a bit. Torque looks very strong. Good luck.

Those cars were rated at 400hp-right? Those are fantastic numbers.
What is the drivetrain loss for a R\T 10?

My 94 was 371HP 429TQ when I first tested it..... (K&N + smooth tubes). With headers, full 3" exhaust, and 1.7's, my torque still isn't as high as yours! Good numbers! You got a strong one!
I am now at 418/452

One thing I did do before the test was adjust my throttle cables as described in the illustrated upgrades section here. I know that my throttle bodies were not fully opening until I adjusted them.
