1997 Dodge Viper GTS Dealer Brochure \"HELP\"

I just purchased a 1997 Brochure and wondering if any one can help me verify it is a 1997 and not a 1996. All the vipers in the brochure have the stripes going through the plate area like the 96's. At the back in tiny print is a 3/96 at the very bottom of the page. It does talk about "Both have the new rear-exit exhaust system for 1996" This leads me to belive that it is a 1996 Brochure. My question is, Are the 1996 and 1997 Viper brochures the same or did I puchase a 1997 and got a 1996
If it is a 1996 does any one have a 1997 for sale?

if it has a white stripe through the license plate area, it's a 96. if it doesn't it is a 97.

The 1997 Viper brochure shows both the GTS and RT/10 and talks about the "reengineered RT/10 for 1997" in several places

Has great photo of a blue/white RT/10 (they were not available in 1996)

It does have a pic of a Blue GTS with a white stripe through the rear plate area but the photo of the blue RT/10 has no white in the rear plate area.

The date in the back of my brochure is 1/97 74-383-9741 16M

Marv, on page 9 it does have a white with blue RT/10 with a blue and white GTS but nowhere does it mention 1997, just 1996.Didn't the RT/10 get the second generation engine in 1997?

The RT/10 did get the 2nd Generation Motor. If your showing a White/Blue RT then your sale brochure is a 1996.

Oh well thanks everyone. I see that I bought a "1997 Dodge Viper GTS Dealer Brochure" and got a 1996 Does any one have a 1997 Dodge Viper GTS Dealer Brochure they would like to sell? Or trade for a mint 1996 brochure

Thanks Marv for posting the picture of the one I do not have We have met in Mission Valley for one of our San Diego Cruises but I did not make it to Miramar I found this one on E-Bay and I will know what to look for next time.

Hissses, I have both brochures (not looking to sell). The 96 Brochure is nice but the 97 is probably better in regards to quality. Either of these that you find for less than $15 is a good buy. You will really like the 97 when you get one. Good luck.

I paid top buck for my 97 brochure in my 'just bought a Viper phase must own anything associated with it at any cost'. Thank god that blew over quick........

blue key blanks, models, brochures, articles, heck even 4 slicks sitting in the garage.
