Hi everyone,

I am considering the Quaiffe Differential and the 3.55 gear change. Does anyone know what the rpm is on 5th gear going at 70mph? and then at 6th gear going at 70mph?

I am getting so much wheel hop that it is getting annoying. I guess the Quaiffe is the only way to fix that, right? Thanks!

Here you go...

3.55 gear - 5th gear going at 70mph = 2285rpm
3.55 gear - 6th gear going at 70mph = 1524rpm

Redline is at 52mph in 1st with 3.55's.

Btw, should you decide to go with this mod you'll likely wonder why you didn't do it sooner. Good luck.

Thanks, snakeEye. I will do it!

Richie, uh.....3.33, that's not stock either? :) That's funny, when I bought the viper, it was a move from the lethargic nsx to this viper, which has almost double hp and more than double the torque (nsx -- 224lb/torque), and thought I would never need to do anything to the viper. 1 month into ownership, I found its power limit on the freeway accelerating from 40-100 on 2nd gear. I was wishing for more power! HP is addictive!
